I tried using FoxFilter with this one. But ProCon blocks the settings page for FoxFilter, because it contains words like "porn", or other word it is looking for. The address to the settings page start with "chrome://" not "html://" so when I added that to the whitelist, ProCon still won't allow me to get to it.Cette critique concerne une version précédente du module (126.96.36.199).

For the author of this software : very good work, thanks a lot! I provide on my website a keywords file for french people (see link above).
Whitelist Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
I have been using this tool for over six months now, and use it to help those that I'm an accountability partner for.
The only two websites so far that I think need to be added into the Whitelist are:
xxxchurch.com (Helps to bring awareness, openness, accountability, and recovery to the church, society, and individuals in the issues of pornography)
and craigslist.org (provides local classifieds and forums for jobs, housing, for sale, personals, services, local community, and events.)
address bar Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles
I liked it for avoiding inappropriate information on new tabs(same website each time) that were being launched from www.megavideo.com.
The only problem was that I couldn't get the address bar to work after installing ProCon. I had to get around it by using the search bar and clicking on links from there.
I finally disabled it. Then the address bar worked.
Too bad, I REALLY like the idea.

Very good so far. I do see one apparent problem. You can click to disable the program and it does not require the password. That is a problem with computer savvy teens and pre-teens.
installs in non-standard location Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
This is a great tool, first of all, but it installs in a non-standard location. I forgot my password and after removing the extension and then re-installing it, it keeps asking me to enter the password, so now I can't make changes to the tool's settings except by uninstalling or disabling it, which is very unfortunate. This is the Linux version I'm talking about, I don't know if the same problems exist on Windows.

This is REALLY what I was searching for all this time ! A good tool that allow you to give yourself limits and not to be off that limits.
I think we could also call this a Grown Up "Parental Control". BE HONEST WITH YOU ! My strength is in my weakness, especially when I know these weaknesses... YES, very good, every Christian should know it... I AGREE ! (I'm French, MERCI BEAUCOUP !!)
Thank you so much to help us in this going around internet and not put our eyes anywhere... 'Cause the if there is no Light in our eyes, what Darkness it will be !!
No multi user support? Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
A very good extension. I like being able to block everything apart from what is in the white list.
You can install it for all users of a pc by downloading it and saving it to the root of C: and using the following command:
firefox -install-global-extension c:\procon.xpi
The settings appear to be user specific though.
So the problem I have is when a new user logs in it needs to have the settings re loaded. Is there anyway to store the settings per computer rather than per user?
Unless you disable IE... Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
This otherwise great add-on becomes useless if IE is still available. To disable IE, login with an administrative account (the assumption is that your kid is using underprivileged user account), find "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe", and from Properties/Security check Deny on Read&Execute permission for your kid's account.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. What a wonderful tool to help us in our daily struggle to keep the filth off of our screens and from seeping into our minds. This is a great add-on and every parent (and Christian) needs it. I am installing this on every computer I own and I will recommend it to everyone. Good job!
Wonderful extension but could use polish Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
Extension works very well, but I can't find an email to submit bug reports to.
1. Pressing cancel on password prompt shows 'incorrect password'.
2. Status label shows up on whitelisted sites.
3. Redirecting after a block does not show status label, so you do not know what keyword triggered it.
4. You can still view source of a page even after it has been blocked.
1. Source code please? It'd be wonderful to be able to submit patches.
2. Whitelist keywords: I'd like to be able to exclude 'hardcore' except when found as 'hardcore football'.
Almost there Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles
Unfortunately, I passworded proconlatte before adding all the filters and since I made the password ridiculously hard... you can imagine. Is there a way to block sites or adding words to the filter without accessing the options panel?
Whitelist gets lost! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles
This add on is wonderful!
BUT when Firefox crashes on my Macbook, the whitelist is erased and we have to retype it all. Corvineum, could there be a fix for this? Bless you!
Will do! Thanks, and God Blses you too!
Disabled in Safe Mode Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles
I agree totally with nintendorulz55 and all others who complain about being able to disable in safe mode.
The block site feature on internet explorer is password protected.
This is probably because the most important thing to parents is to block the gazzilons of porn sites from their kids.
You guys should get with the program!
Otherwise, this is an excellent add on! Would have given it five stars were it not for the safe-mode problem.

Procon Latte is not working with Autopager FF addon which is a wonderful addon. Starting from 2nd page generated by Augopager, all pages are not filtering by ProCon Latte. Would you pls support Autopager?
I liked the idea of using this to lock down a station to a specific website. My problem is that when I add the site to the whitelist, it automatically changes the Filter Preset from Secure to Moderate. Then when I change the setting back to Secure, it automatically checks 'Enable Explicit Material Filter' and 'Block All Traffic'. It then also blocks the site that is on the whitelist. I'm stuck, and I really want to make this work!

The words in Profanity Filter won't filter the same word in partially manner, say when a word f**k is added, when f**kin is found, the word won't be filtered. User can't add all tenses of the word. Pls Corvineum changes this word filter stronger.

I thank you for the really good idea! But can't establish a good configuration: on 'secure' it's filtering almost every website...
Like the idea, don't like how it's working Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles
I started to browse the web with this addon installed, and it nearly blocked every site I visited. It even blocked addons.mozilla.org (this extension). It blocked some forums, and so on. Some sites, completely appropriate, are blocked.
I believe an option to 'warn' the user about the site, before it is displayed, instead of completely blocking it, should be added. (If there is it should be more... apparent.) But, I love the idea of this extension.
RE: Like the idea, don't like how it's working
I will make a note as possible feature.
