Pounce runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any personal data, and it makes no background network requests — no servers, no analytics, no accounts, no tracking.

Your open tabs, browsing history, bookmarks, and downloads are read only to power the search box and are matched locally on your device. Your settings (theme, layout) are saved locally via the browser's storage API and never leave your device.

The only time anything leaves your device is when you explicitly run the "/web" command or open a URL — Pounce opens a normal search-results or website tab, exactly like typing in the address bar. Nothing is sent in the background.

The optional "Tab thumbnails" feature (off by default) captures a snapshot of the tab you are viewing so you can preview it; these images stay on your device.
