Worked yesterday fine works today somewhat... Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Alright so yesterday I installed this addon along with classic theme restorer because I just got the new firefox update and I did not like it at all... After installing this addon I was able to turn off my menu bar saving space! Ony issue I am having now is with bookmarks. I have bookmarks added into the custom menu and it won;t let you copy them when you right-click them any more... A bug that is really annoying me right now... So it is a good add-on with some bugs.

Works great with Classic Theme Restorer

I don't know what these other people are complaining about. I had the new version 6.0.1 of this and now have 6.1.0, the current version, and both of them are perfectly compatible with Classic Theme Restorer. Just set Classic Theme Restorer to NOT show the Firefox button, and then have Personal Menu show ITS Firefox button instead. Not that complicated. All you people who say it's incompatible, you're doing it wrong. Disable the Firefox button in Classic Theme Restorer, and use the Firefox button from Personal Menu instead. Then it'll work perfectly, flawlessly, no incompatibility between the extensions at all.

works great with FF 29 under Ubuntu 14.04 - replace the stupid Australis Firefox button Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I've had this installed less than an hour, but it works great for me. Like many I am annoyed as heck by Australis which sucks as much as Gnome 3. But with this to replace the dumb Firefox button and Classic Theme Restorer for other reasons, I think I can live with it. Contrary to the previous poster I'm experiencing no compatibility problem with Classic Theme Restorer.

For those to whom it means anything, you can edit this menu with a gui a lot like the old a la carte editor for the the gnome 2 menu. I haven't tried to see if I can add a de novo custom item yet, but if it that isn't an out of the box feature, I bet you can make it work by using this with Custom Buttons (I might have that name wrong). Total thumbs up.

Added later by edit:
"Yea, I know it is not a great, or even good name for its functionality."
I'm confused. I didn't criticise the name of your addon. I think it is a fine name. On another page for another addon, I mentioned that THAT addon (Close Button) could use a better name. What I called "dumb" here wasn't this but the standard "Firefox" button that Awful Australis comes with. The point being that this addon, which I presume has been around a while, is wholly superiour to Mozilla's worthless "innovation" of the Firefox button and a great replacement for it. For that matter "Tiny Menu", while not as good as this, is better than the standard Australis button and it's been around since the neolithic. Mozilla reinvents the wheel, improves it by making it pentagonal instead of round, and expects applause for innovation.

They need to wake up to the fact that it isn't their hired staff that made Firefox so popular - it's all the addon devs, each pursuing their own individual visions of how to make something better, that made Firefox a success. Mozilla needs to quit screwing around with makework BS like Australis, and simply maintain a stable platform for you guys to work with. There is a beautiful metaphor there if you think about it. Mozilla is like the State, valuable as long as it keeps to it's core responsibilities, but when it becomes "activist", look out, it's just going to start stepping on people and getting in the way.

Anyway, this was working great but some update broke something. Now I can't find it in the customise-toolbar dialogue.
-----------
added later: I'll leave the above evidence of my attack of acute stupidity. All I had to do was shutdown Firefox completely and restart it. Duh. About the name, now I see what you mean. Yes, I suggest you change the text label of the button to "Personal Menu" so it won't be confused with the other one. Everything is working fine here now, and it looks fine on THIS non-Windows system, which is Ubunto 14.04, 32 bit, using Openbox as the DE, not just the window manager. And I'm not seeing any conflict with Classic Theme Restorer. Thanks for a great addon.

Thanks for your explanation.
Yea, I know it is not a great, or even good name for its functionality. I just don't want to torment myself so much with the "right" name, ha.

New version is not compatible with classic theme restorer :(
It does'nt shows all options and wont work when using the button that CTR provides (it looks better with the theme). For me PM 5.1.0 is working well.

Great! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Only thing I miss so much on the new version for FF29 are the History and Bookmarks Menu Button Options, like middle- and right-click options, and a way to hide all items before bookmarks/history.... hope they'll be back in the future.
Thanks anyway for the good job!!!

This was an absolute god-send (especially seeing as 'Menu Editor' has long since been abandoned).

Personal Menu worked flawlessly and intuitively, and it was one of my most important add-ons; Firefox was a complete annoyance to use without it.

Regrettably, it no longer works in the latest version of Firefox (v29 Australis) and it will be desperately missed.

Mozilla has removed the original Firefox menu altogether (replacing it with something totally different), so there's not much that this add-on can do if the menu does not even exist. However, Classic Theme Restorer (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer) does a pretty good job of replicating the original Firefox application menu, so it would be amazing if Personal Menu could be made to work with that.

It's no longer functional on the current V29 Beta 1 - maybe the culprit is Australis.

However full 5 stars for all previous efforts.

Very good, with a bit of fiddling you can get rid of the pointless double menu design too.

Great stuff and lots of options make it quite a powerful tweaker.I spent a while thinking that the "open in sidebar" bookmarks click didn't work, until I realised that I was clicking the default button while Personal Menu had added another : )

Nice add on, thank you. Please don't break it Mozilla!

(After thought ... having spent half an hour getting my app menu "just so", an Export Settings option would be handy!)

It is a very convenient Add-ons. But, it does not correspond to the Australis of new UI of Nightly for now. Australis of new UI (Firefox29) will be released around April of 2014.
Do you have any plans to Personal Menu (Personal Firefox Button) corresponding to this new UI?

Wonderful Way to Clean Up Toolbars Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

To easily add toolbar items... just make sure they are removed from any respective toolbar location, then choose the 'toolbar box' item from within PM, and you will have the ability to add any item that is available from the 'customize toolbar' dialog to your Firefox app button.

Great for hiding items that don't need to always be immediately visible, but still keeping them easily accessible.

PM also provides great methods for accessing menu bar items.

Hotkey? Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Is there really a hotkey? I saw Advanced > Enable hotkey but I still can't figure out, what the hotkey is.

EDIT: I use neither of those, I meant the Firefox app button.

Please move the mouse over the bookmarks (or history) button, then the hotkey will show in the tooltip.
Generally, they are Alt+B for bookmarks button, and Alt+S for history button.

Really perfect extension! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

In very practical extension, is much more convenient than CSS, it is a pity that firefox compatibility, version has soared to 22, hope update!
Like it very much, good luck~
