Very helpful but first we have to click to text box otherwise Paste Quote context menu is grey (disabled) Could you add a workaround for this?
Useless for all the forums I post to. example text is what I need for Disqus and the other forums I post to. There should be an option of which tag type to use.
Awesome, 5star, and the Ctrl+Q functionality is great, its a shame this isn't a fully fledged addon with more options and key configuration setups, but it does the quote pasting job nicely.
Small apps that works. Just like if it was a standard firefox tool;)
I had used this for years. I had systems crash one behind the other. In the foray, I lost track of this and recently remembered what I was missing. I installed this immediately and I'm happy I did. Thank you for this extension. Xavian-Anderson Macpherson Shingoshi
It's always nice when you search for a specific function and find exactly what you're looking for.
It's not in the description, but this add-on also provides a Ctrl+Q shortcut key.
Love stuff that just works.
For the puzzled, it adds quotation marks, that's all.
It appears some thought it added clever quotations,
such as "Give me liberty or give me death."
Say "quote marks" instead of "quotes" to avoid this.
One of my most used extensions....love it! Would also love to see an addition that does the same thing with [img] tags.
This is a huge time saver!
Love it! I've added this to all of my computers b/c it's a great time saver for those of us who post often on message boards!
I love this add-on! It is such a time saver when used in message board posting.
I put this one right up there with AdBlock for must-haves.
i thought the quotes are our own. like opera browser's notes, each copy on the notes can be paste on text editor.
rightclick on text editor, select "Insert Note"
Does what it says, but I like to have the user quoted rather than just anyone. Would be good for quoting outside sources...
I'm not sure I follow how this should work. When you copy, you only copy the text, there's no other information available automatically about where it has come from or who wrote it.
In the context of web forums, it's possible that I could derive the author of a quote based on the known structure of the forum (names on the left, associated with the post you're copying from), but for external sources, I don't see how it can work unless it prompts you for a name every time. I think that would be quite annoying.
