Aperçu de Open PRs Bookmarks

Open PRs Bookmarks par ToucanTechno

Keeps a folder on your bookmarks toolbar in sync with the GitHub pull requests assigned to you or awaiting your review. Refreshes on startup, on a timer, and on demand. Uses your own GitHub token; no server, no tracking.

À propos de cette extension
Your review queue, on your bookmarks bar.
This add-on maintains a folder on the bookmarks toolbar containing one bookmark per GitHub pull request that is assigned to you or waiting on your review, plus the ones of yours that were merged recently. Click the folder, see what's on your plate, open any of them in a click, without keeping a GitHub tab open or refreshing github.com/pulls.

How it works

Paste a GitHub personal access token into the add-on's preferences (Settings → Developer settings → Tokens (classic), with the
repo
scope).

Choose which pull requests belong in the folder: review requested, assigned to you, reviewed by you, opened by you, recently merged and assigned to you, or any combination.

The folder refreshes when Firefox starts, on a timer you set (10 minutes by default), and whenever you click the toolbar button.

The toolbar button doubles as a status light: it shows how many pull requests are in the folder, or a red badge if a sync failed.

Setting up the token
The add-on talks to GitHub as you, using a token you create yourself. It takes about a minute:

Go to github.com/settings/tokens (GitHub → your avatar → Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens).

Choose Tokens (classic) → Generate new token (classic).

Give it a name and an expiry; 90 days or less is sensible.

Tick the top-level
repo
checkbox and nothing else. Its five sub-boxes tick themselves; leave them.
repo
is the only scope that can see private repositories.

Generate, then copy the token. GitHub shows it exactly once.

Open the add-on's preferences, paste it in, and press Save & sync now.

Organisation repositories
You don't need to own a repository for its pull requests to appear. The token reaches whatever your account can already read, including org-owned private repos. Two organisation settings can still get in the way:

SAML SSO: click Configure SSO next to your new token and authorise the organisation.

Token policy: an organisation can block classic tokens entirely, in which case an owner has to permit them.

In either case the sync still succeeds, it just quietly returns fewer pull requests, because GitHub's search omits what the token can't see.

Fine-grained tokens work too, with Pull requests: Read and Metadata: Read, but you must set Resource owner to the organisation and wait for an owner to approve the request.

No bookmark churn
The folder is reconciled in place rather than rebuilt: pull requests that no longer match drop out, new ones appear, renamed ones get updated titles, and everything else keeps its existing bookmark, so syncing every few minutes doesn't churn your bookmarks or your Firefox Sync history. Sub-folders you put inside it are left alone.

Privacy
There is no server and no account. Your token is stored in your Firefox profile and is sent only to api.github.com, as you. Nothing is collected, logged, or transmitted anywhere else. The source is four unminified files with no build step.
