- Noté 1 sur 5par Denitsa, il y a 4 ansI don't usually write negative reviews, but this addon has broken my nerves in recent weeks. It doesn't work at all, the icon is constantly disabled and doesn't "turn on" and there's no way to turn it on - I don't know why Firefox allowed such an addon to be published. I tried everything from the "documentation", read all the comments, reinstalled my browser several times - it is still disabled.
- Noté 1 sur 5par 00231, il y a 4 ansDoes not work, I have tinkered with the settings and tried everything (such as toggling fixed location, reinstalling, restarting browser and device, deleting geocache and browser cache) but according to whatsmyip's approx location tool it can still discover my exact location, despite setting this geospoofer elsewhere. I'm also using a VPN set to the same location I set this to test it (since the site is finding my location by other means that I thought this would solve) - it has no effect. Is there anywhere we can request support, and not just bug reports? I see I'm not alone.
Using Firefox 79.0 on Windows 10. - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13954888 de Firefox, il y a 4 ansLooks good unfortunately didn't work at all. Nor did the only other firefox location addon. I just want it to stop saying i live somewhere i don't. Ugh.

mis en ligne : il y a 4 ansThanks for your review. Location Guard collects __absolutely__ no user data whatsoever. Its code is open source so anyone can easily audit it to verify this. Moreover, location guard is the result of academic research, it is not monetized in any way. - Noté 5 sur 5par Fender, il y a 4 ansWorks great. But make sure you set options correctly and toggle them when it stops working.
- Noté 5 sur 5par oliver, il y a 4 ansWork very well. But you have to read the manual.
I only missing a config button in the browsers toolbar. - Noté 5 sur 5par venkat, il y a 4 ans

then used a well known meeting site that locates your cords and it worked.
ideal for both dynamic or static IPs!!
5 stars from me!

διαλέγεις το Fixed Location, και τραβάς τον δείκτη εκεί που θές. τέλος..... σε γνωστό σάιτ που ψάχνει τις συντεταγμένες σου, δούλεψε κανονικά.

- Noté 2 sur 5par Critt, il y a 5 ansI don't know what to think as there is no icon available at all anywhere so I can't say it installed correctly. I bookmarked the options page so I could get to that but the hide icon is unchecked so it should be there I would think. If there is no icon is it not installed correctly?
Edit: I did find it in the dropdown menu where the three dots (...) are in the site address. If you right click on it you get the option to remove it form the address bar or manage it. If you remove it does it show up in the tool bar? - Noté 5 sur 5par mathilde, il y a 5 ans
- Noté 4 sur 5par rjhughes, il y a 5 ansWhile I love this extension on Google Chrome, the icon for the Firefox extension seems to have disappeared. Resetting firefox doesn't seem to work, and as a result the extension can never do its job on Firefox.

However, it doesn't serve the purpose. For one, it says it allows you to configure per site but the icon that allows it is always disabled. It's not clickable no matter what option you choose. Moreover, albeit not much of an issue, it it embedded deep into page actions.
It also annoys me when it doesn't allow you to cache the location for infinite duration. I don't understand why deny the possibility if a user wants it.
Also, something that maynot be in it's purview is that a JS request as simple as one for system.time can help a website determine your geo-location.
Lastly, it doesn't work always. Websites such as iplocation.net can still determine your geo-location even when you have faked it using location guard.
I have used location guard in conjunction with and without other vpns but it has failed to do it's job consistently.
Don't get me wrong, faking geo location is a tough thing to do and this add-on does a job much better than any other, but it is still just not enough.
