Light Visual Bookmarks turns the new tab page into a grid of your real Firefox bookmarks. There is no separate list to maintain: add, rename, move or delete a bookmark anywhere in Firefox and the grid follows, and changes made in the grid go straight to your bookmarks.

How screenshots work
To take a screenshot, the page opens for a moment in a background window with your normal session, exactly as if you visited it, and closes once the shot is taken. Before a folder is captured you see a warning, so you can mark private pages first.

Privacy
- No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics. Nothing is sent to the developer.
- Access to page content is optional and requested only after you click to allow it. It is used for screenshots and high-quality site icons.
- Site icons come from the sites themselves. When a site's own icon can't be loaded, Google's icon service receives the domain name only, never the full address.
- bing.com is contacted only if you choose the Bing background.
