Please make a WebExtension version of History Submenus II.
Anything that manages masses of data is a guaranteed hit here! Why oh why is there no organised campaign to stick with the CUSTOMISABLE Firefox everyone loves? Who in their right minds wants YET ANOTHER Chrome-Clone ?
Really easy and comfortable with history,Like it!
It was very comfortable with a history
I browse a lot. I often come across really awesome sites and even don’t have the time to properly save the reference. Then time comes when I recall those findings and want to refer back to them but the only way to do that is through FireFox’s built-in browsing history feature which sadly has rather a limited search capacity.
I’ve been searching for ways to enhance FireFox’s browsing history feature and have come up with a few extensions that also adds some fun to the process of checking back on your past findings.
It works without problems and errors. A lot of settings, easy, super!
works well , some glitches but thats fine.
So what exactly the glitches are?
Can You please make it work for the last 9999 days?!
Thank You very much.

This extension solved me a long time problem of opening the history menu only to see that what I'm looking for is older, so I had to close it and then open the history sidebar. Now I get it all in one place!
It would be amazing to have a small history search box too at the top!
EDIT: The developer fixes issues very fast too!
Thank you for this!
PS: Working on my Mac.
Works on previous versions, but as of Firefox 40.0.x it's no longer working on the Mac; History menu is blank until you remove the plugin. Tried on 5 different systems. -FIXED in version 3.1, many thanks.
I love this add-on but since FF 40.0.0 for Mac, no history (at all) shows up (also no bookmarks) until I disable it, (sometimes Yes, sometimes No) then all the history and bookmarks reappear. The update today to 40.0.3 did not change this behavior. Having access to my history in submenus for previous days is wonderful but sadly I have to leave it disabled. I still gave it 5 stars in the hopes it'll start working again on the Mac.
(I wrote a review but it never showed up. I am writing again.)

Best, thank you!
First of all: many thanks for your add-on. I had been looking for something like this for a long time.
I have several computers and I installed History Submenus II in all of them, but only in one, my main PC (Windows 7 64 bit, Firefox 32.0.3), it works correctly: it shows all the pages visited in submenus as expected.
In the other computers, instead, it shows only a few random pages under submenus, pages I visited many days before. If I visit a new page, it doesn't appear under submenu. But all the pages I visited (included the new ones) are correctly displayed in Firefox history. I tried to delete the history, but new pages are still not showed under submenus.
By the way, Firefox in all my computers is configured exactly in the same manner (same addons, same settings...). I installed it in PCs with Linux and Windows XP, and initially I thought it didn't work just in Linux and Windows XP, but then I installed History Submenus II in another PC with Windows 7 64 bit and got always the same problem.
Is there anything I can try?
Thanks in advance!
Please check if there is any conflict with other extensions (disable others).
Check the console (ctrl + shift + j) and copy the error messages that show when menu/submenus opening.
Post the screenshots or error messages here:
Good work. The extension is working great from Firefox ESR 24 to Nightly build 32.0a1. Never understood why FF Dev removed the feature from the History menu in the first place.
very clever history sorting, and recommend using a menu bar dropdown addon for the taskbar. Personal Menu adds one, but also does alotof other things; Custom Buttons 'My Menu Buttons' by Darkmatter lets you add individual buttons for each of the menus, so can just add the history button for a cleaner approach, but suggest disabling this addon first if you do, install that button then reactivate this, might glitch otherwise showing two sets of the days. Thanks
Great. Just what I was looking for. I use my history all the time. I need it organized by day. Firefox Library gives Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, then by month. Very frustrating. This is a solution Also nice to be able to choose how I want to see the day and month formatted. Nice touch.
.I was initially disappointed to see that the actual Library History was not modified by this add-on, only the scrolldown menu from the history tab in the menu bar. But it is really good for quick access.
I did discover that I can put a date column in the Library history, so that I can scroll through 7days, month etc, and find items that way.
I would love it though, if you could make your add-on modify the actual Library history. Then I can see the entire URL and date when I need to, but have it all organized better, by your add-on!!! 5 stars for what it is + the feature request,
Thanx for all the hard work!!!
-By the way, I'm using it in FF 21 and it's working fine.
Doesn't work well with FF20.0
It makes Mozilla unable to open new windows.
Works fine in FF 19.0.2 - earlier problem was a Firefox bug. Makes navigating history much easier.
Great add-on but not working on FF v19.0
Very valuable add-on. One drawback, however, is its unawareness concerning date change. If firefox is kept running for more than one day, the history stack won't be shifted after midnight.
I have tried to set the clock to 2012-12-31 23:59:00, cleared all history, opened few pages and confirmed the Today folder contained those pages. Then I opened the history menu and just waited for the day passed. When 2013-01-01 came, the Today menu didn't change. But I clicked elsewhere to close the history menu and opened it again, the Today menu updated to Yesterday. Everything works just fine in Windows, Firefox 20.
