Ă propos de cette extension
HeaderMod
A lightweight and open source browser extension that lets you intercept outgoing HTTP requests and inject, update, modify, or override headers on a per-URL basis. Define custom rules with wildcard URL patterns and toggle them on or off.
Key Features
âą Define multiple header-modification rules
âą Wildcard-based URL matching (e.g., .example.com/)
âą Add or replace any request header (name + value)
âą Enable or disable rules individually
âą Persist rules in local storage for seamless browser restarts
âą Dynamic toolbar icon indicates active rules
Usage
1. Click the HeaderMod toolbar icon to open the popup.
2. Click Add Rule to create a new entry, then fill in:
âą URL Pattern (supports * wildcards)
âą Header Name and Header Value
âą Optional Comment for your reference
âą Enabled checkbox to toggle the rule
3. Modify or delete rules as needed.
4. Click Save All to store your modifications and automatically close the popup.
What happens next
âą Browse your sites as usual
âą Each enabled rule is tested against the request URL
âą Matching requests have their headers updated or appended before they leave the browser
Privacy
âą All rules and settings are stored locally in your browserâs storage. No user data, browsing history, or request details are ever sent to external servers or third parties. HeaderMod operates entirely on your machine.
Whether you need to spoof headers for testing or inject custom metadata into requests, HeaderMod puts you in control.
