Pourquoi le module Context Search a-t-il été créé ?
Context Search came about as an alternative to Ben Goodger's SmartSearch. I liked the idea of being able to choose a search engine at the point of searching (being restricted to the default seemed a bit limited), but I didn't want to use the search keywords system when there was a perfectly good search engine selection in the top right hand corner of Firefox.
I mimicked the menu structure and I was able to get the result I wanted, a handy time saver that I use on every computer I work on.
If you think this add-on is useful, please donate the price of a coffee / beer to say thanks! I really appreciate all donations as I do all of this work in my spare time.
Prochaine étape pour Context Search
There are a couple of enhancements that I would like to make to Context Search in the near future:
1) Add the "Manage Search Engines" link to the bottom of the menu (but only if the search bar in the top right is hidden). This will give people who discard the normal search bar an easy access point to the engine customisation window.
2) Preserve ordering / the enabled or disabled status of search engines - i.e. copy the Firefox menu more closely.
Please feel free to contact me regarding other ideas, and source code contributions are always welcome.
