Privacy Policy — Citeory browser extension
The Citeory extension collects and transmits data only when you explicitly click "Cite this source" or use the right-click menu:
The page you chose to cite — its title, URL, and any citation metadata it publishes (DOI, authors, journal, publisher). This is read only from the single active tab, only at that moment, and only sent to save the source to your Citeory account.
Your Citeory sign-in session — a token identifying your account, sent with each save so it's stored in the right place. The extension never sees or stores your password.
We do not collect browsing history, track pages you don't act on, run analytics, or use tracking pixels. Data is never sold or shared with third parties, and is never used to train AI models. You can delete any saved item, or your whole account, at any time from citeory.com.
