I love this add-on however I'd love to get these features and have these bugs fixed:
1) Doesn't work on Firefox for Android at all (perhaps shows its window outside the browser viewport)
1) Allow to monitor an entire page's content - sometimes you cannot know in advance which part of the page might change and it's mostly static
2) Include other notification sounds (louder and simpler, like simple tunes); allow to set their volume (!) if Firefox WE APIs allow that
3) Embed the remaining duration right into the extension icon
4) "Next reload in" should show D:HH:MM:SS, not just minutes
5) Add an option to either refresh a tab or refresh a tab's URL (and stop refreshing once the URL has changed) - these are two different things
6) For audio notifications add a possibility of scheduling the time of a day and days of a week when they should not be played (this one is not really worth implementing)
Thank you for your work!
Dear Ronen, Could you or anyone else reading this confirm if the log functionality has been restored as it was working in your old and stable version? I updated to the 2.0 but was missing this function, along with the rest of the issues that you fixed on the 2.1 version. I have reverted back to BOTH an old Firefox and your old check3changes addon. Thank you
changed the icon of one of my bookmarks and will not let it change back to the default after removing the addon
How can I get rid of that stupid popup - so silly. Typical for see how fit I am with the system - but not see what the user needs!
Used to be great, but since v2, many more clicks are required to start a scan and, even worse, the Check4Change window now blocks the browser window such that it can't be used. This is a major regression.
It seems many other people are affected. You can install the old version right here at addons.mozilla.org by going to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/check4change/versions/
PLEASE change the interface to the way it was before 2.0! The new version blocks the window and it we can't see it. Also, it does not seem to be functioning well, and every time I want to monitor something I need to create a new "job". Before, with the contextual menu, my last used setting was already there, it was simple and fast. This version now takes a lot of clicks. This is a major step-back.
After update to 2.0 for Firefox 57 this addon blocks the monitoring page with c4c window! Please remove this because there's a need to work with exactly that page!
v2.1 now has option to hide that splash and context menus are back. So it's fully usable now! The only thing left is to make favicon flash or perform animation to see that monitored page was already changed
I love this extension. I do some online work that only gets posted up sporadically. This extension means that I can get on with other things without missing out on jobs. It can be customised to exactly the amount of time I need which is better than other extensions that I looked at.
the older version is so much better, in the tab, you could see, that anything is working, and now the window on the checking side is not to hide :(
The update for Quantum is horrible and does not work at all.
Great for getting studies on Prolific Academic!
Super helpful with class registration!
Try running this on the latest version of firefox in just two browsers and watch it cripple the entire browser within 30 minutes. It does this every time for me. It makes firefox run at a crawling pace. I want to activate Firefox's multiprocess option but this software prevents you from doing it. The ONLY reason why I still use firefox is because of check4change. Please update this software because it completely cripples firefox right now.
this plug in is excellent. But it will be very good if the plugin can monitor multi value at the same page.
Cant do for cell
Hi. check4change not work in newer version of firefox,
because in new version, firefox use multicore tab processing,
and for use, check4change, you need to turn off this feature,
for make this changes you need:
at first check multicore feature status,
type about:support in adress line and press enter
if you see multicore windows (tabs) 1/1 multicore is work
To turn off you need type about:config + enter
>type in search: browser.tabs.remote.autostart + enter> from true to false (by double click)
>type in search: extensions.e10sBlockedByAddons + enter> from false to true (by double click)
>type in search: extensions.e10sBlocksEnabling + enter> from false to true (by double click)
It's working perfectly.
Check4Change was working perfectly for me with 54.0.1 but FF automatically upgraded to 55.0.3 and now I can't Check4Change the text on a "view source" page. The tab icon counts down but C4C does not detect any changes.
I am still giving this extension a 5 because it "used" to work perfectly and I am hoping it will be upgraded soon.
If anyone else has this issue have you found a work around?
Thank you, I am really glad you still updated it for latest firefox. Firefox is best.
Muy buena excelente
I cant seem to get this to work. I have fire fox 53.0.3. Is that why? If i was to get a old computer that wasnt updated would that fix my issue? Please help cause I need this for something very important. Also, will this only work on firefox? or can i use chrome?
Was not able to see 4tochange.
On the right click menu in FF 53, the left button has white text on a pale grey background, while the cancel button is black with white mouseover. This affects every part of FF. If I try to close all tabs to the right, for instance, it is there. I know it's C4C because I have tested all other add-ons, and only C4C causes this change. When it is diabled, the buttons go back to normal.
This doesn't seem to affect C4C's operations, but it is most annoying how it corrupts that feature.
Although it looks for the change @ show the notification, the sound not work anymore with Firefox 52.0
