Seems to work ok Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Works good for me. Also, it gives a small notice at the bottom of the task bar which fades away after a couple of seconds when you click on a blacklisted link. I don't know if it has any spy or malware.

Doesn't work after restart Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Stops working after closing the window Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Blocking stops working the moment you close the window (CMD+W ) on Mac. If you quit and restart Firefox, it starts working again, but only if you don't close the window which makes this add-on useless.

Ack, autoupdates v0.7.1.1 to this spyware Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

I went through the hassle of getting the older v0.7.1.1 to run (maxVersion fix) -- it runs fine for me; no issues. Until today, when Firefox auto-updated 7.1.1 to the WIPs spyware version. Man I wish FF supported disabling updates on single addons... Have to turn them all off for autoupdating, to keep this one out...

Plugin is detected as malware Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

The plugin is detected as Malware Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Why is this plugin detected as malware ?
I found online information as follows
------------------
BlockSite is an extension, which automagically blocks websites of your choice. Additionally, this extension will disable all hyperlinks to these websites, by just displaying the link text without the clicking functionality.
The old BlockSite 0.7.1.1 by Erik van Kempen has been taken over by Wips.com. The original ID has been preserved. Wips.com extensions have tracking capabilities and are considered "spyware". More information available here and here.
There are more Wips.com extensions still offered on addons.mozilla.org, which should be avoided. Check the lists here and here.

Just right click on webpage and "Block this Site"

Does what It claims but..... Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Works great but I'd like it alot better if there was a toolbar icon to bring it up rather than going thru options/addons

Prima!

Очень плохо! Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

Вообще не блокирует сайты! вношу в чёрный список и ничего не меняется! раньше работало ,теперь боьше не работает!

Malware. Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

This crap app is malware.

I HATE this addon! Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

It installed automatically, without my permission, the last time I relaunched firefox, and proceeded to block EVERY tab I had open! And how is it supposed to keep me from being distracted when a notification that it is blocking the site I was using keeps popping up every few seconds? This addon is beyond worthless, it is irritating!

You're awesome! and your program is awesome! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Thanks so much, I used the wildcard feature to block all "Wikia" websites. I have this stupid habit of spoiling games for myself while looking for info. You saved me from my dumb memory haha, thank you.

Use the previous version, this one suck ! Noté 1 sur 5 étoiles

I used the old version of blocksite which was very unstable but was working ! The current version don't desactivate the link in google search. And it's really the BIG features i love in blocksite : all the crappy site i've visited one time, never be visited another time.

Instead now, blocksite let you waste you time with a rigth click, open a new tab, display a block site message. Super !

So what i've done is i've get a previous version and modified it in order to run it in the new firefox.

As the rules in the firefox comments is "do not provide link", i can't provide links to the other users. But it's not so hard : go into google, type Index of blocksite-0.7.1.1-fx.xpi, download it, open it with 7zip, open install.rdf, modify the line maxVersion with let say 50.0.* close it, double clik on it and get the previous version working on any firefox.

I hope another developper will take the hand on this project a day and restore the functionnality or some project like leechsite will do it a day.
