I love the idea of APNG but this has to be the worst application ever. Load 80 13 kb PNG images on it and it takes up way over 2 GB of RAM and grinds itself to death. Go program something else.

A great tool Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

This add-on is extremely useful to me, though I do wish that it had more features.

Awesome! APNG much more better than animated GIF.

Um ok I get how it works and all but It'd be nice if it was still animated once it's saved to ur hard-drive...

works great - thanks!

Promising tool! Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Clean and simple interface, but it lacks some features.
No resizing of image before import, which can render the interface useless if the image is too big to fit into the window.

Basic Functionality Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

Spits out working APNG's, but is lacking in features.

You can't import more than 1 frame at a time, and there's no option to change the timing for more than 1 frame at a time.

800x600 now broken Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

The new background option is nice, but unfortunately it makes the program impossible to use with 800x600 screens.

Working fine! Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

Most of users don't remember to open apng in FIREFOX!

Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

I'm using Firefox v. 3.0.6 and have the same problem as written by someone else earlier. The editor seems to work fine - until I try to save the image - it looks like it's saving it, but then when I look for the image, it's not there either. Help!

It will not save my image :( Noté 2 sur 5 étoiles

I'm running ff v. 3.0.4, and the editor seems to work fine - until I try to save the image - it looks like it's saving it, but then when I look for the image, it's not there.

I really don't want to have to use an earlier version of FireFox, any suggestions?

perfect for the throbber Noté 5 sur 5 étoiles

I'm a skinner and I find the APNG Edit addon perfect for my customized Activity Indicators on Firefox
from now on I can use the APNG format for my "busy" animated throbbers (instead of .gif have a look here: http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=970&libid=18 )

Performs its stated purpose. Lacks edit capability, other than that it works pretty well.

This is a two star addon I would gladly rate five but for the lack of one very important piece of functionality: you can't open/edit animations, only create new ones. Each time you close the window you'll have to start from the beginning.

The editor looks very glossy and competent, it's easy and intuitive to work with, and it certainly does its job creating animated pngs, but the inability to open/import animated pngs is crippling. This is akin to writing documents in office, saving them as pdf and throw away the actual document. Any mistake means start over.

Fix this and you'll have my 5.

Could be better Noté 3 sur 5 étoiles

It does exactly what it's supposed to do: create animated PNGs, but to a point.

It'd be nice to be able to import a .gif or multiple files instead of having to put them in one at a time.

I have found that you can only get the PNG file to get to 1 MB, and once it gets to that point it simply displays the first frame without animating.

A save feature would be nice due to some effects when trying to add a new frame and it freezes up while trying to recreate the preview.

I don't see any use for the "Run Script" option as far as regular usage is concerned.

miss import function of .gif animations - this would allow to update old anis with only few clicks
