A note to future users:
If you want to translate a line or block of text (more than one word) via selection, you need to check the option "Do translation when text is selected by mouse while Alt or Insert key is held".
When you want to translate, press the "Insert" button on your keyboard, then select the line of text or block of text. I found that Alt+select doesn't work. This is probably due to some conflict with the Alt key assignment.
Here's a quick demo:
Hope this helps :)
Update 21-July-2014: Noticed a bug whereby when Firefox is launched every time after quitting it, the list is empty and says "No tab groups have been created". The list only shows after clicking on the Tab Group button, then leaving the Tab Groups view.
My comment reflects what Njol said here:
I use tab groups on a daily basis ever since the feature was released in Firefox years ago. I can now easily switch between tab groups. Thank you so much!
Marvelous!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (2.1.1).
Hi bear and Noti. Kindly add the following to your userChrome.css file.
This is exactly what bear is referring to:
Hope this helps :)
EDIT 12 Feb 2014 - I guess I should really use your forum to report bugs and write posts because this website just doesn't have a reply button when it should! You're welcome :)
There are several bugs now. I suspect it's because of FF27, not Tab Mix Plus.
1- As others have kindly mentioned, "Undo Close Tab" from both tab context menu & main context menu has been rendered non-functional. The button exists but it doesn't work now .
2- "Merge Windows" button appears in main context menu even when it is disabled (unchecked) in Tab Mix Plus main context menu settings. (I checked/unchecked and restarted FF27 several times before arriving at the conclusion that it is indeed broken. I applied the same test to points 3 and 4 below as well).
3- "Closed Tabs List" button appears in main context menu even when it is disabled (unchecked) in Tab Mix Plus main context menu settings.
4- Almost similar to point (3) above, "Reload Tab Every" button appears as a button with NO text (empty string) in the main context menu. Additionally, it shows up in the main context menu even when it is disabled (unchecked) in Tab Mix Plus main context menu settings.

EDIT: Thank you unalterable for your suggestion. I've installed the development version and everything is great again as far as I can tell. Is the development version safe for daily use?
Immediately after updating to Firefox 27.0, I noticed that - even though I already have GlobalFindBar installed - GlobalFindBar's settings were somehow overridden by Firefox's unpleasant find bar.
The solution was simply going to GlobalFindBar's settings and putting a check mark on "Restore Old Style" which restored the desired look and behavior.
Thank you so much for this add-on Noitidart!
EDIT Feb 10 2014 - Hello Notidart, I understand that you stated that you cannot reproduce the error/bug, and that you didn't experience the same as I did. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps it's because I am using "Find and Replace for FireFox 1.0 beta" add-on along with GlobalFindBar and maybe that conflicted with it somehow. Additionally, I recall modifying the userChrome.css file a few months ago as per this forum https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/976166 to get the exact look I'm looking for. Perhaps that may be another reason? Hope this helps :)
EDIT Feb 11 2014 - Hello again! I found out that this issue I reported was only occurring on the laptop PC (1366x768) not on the desktop PC (1920x1080). It is very odd indeed. What happens specifically when I uncheck the "Restore Old Style" radio button is that the "Next", "Previous", "Highlight All", and "Match Case" buttons shift to the very left side of the screen. As far as I can tell, this is the new look post-Firefox 25. Thanks once again :)
I've been using it for at least half a year now.
It works perfectly. Thank you so much! :)
It's hard to believe that this isn't built into Firefox by default. Works great. Many thanks!Cette critique est pour une version précédente du module (2.7).
I have been using Tab Mix Plus for over 2 years. No complaints as of yet. All pros and no cons. Seriously! If there were 10 stars, I would give it that.
Edit (2014): I have been using TMP for over 4 years now.
Please update this add-on. It's a little buggy and Firefox hangs because of it everyday. I do not want to dispose it off simply because this add-on saved my behind countless times after writing lengthy posts in forums and accidentally clicking "back".So please update!
Update: Never mind, I found the official website and they have updates. Thanks.
@ joe Izquierdo
Same happened to me.
All you have to do is uninstall and re-install the add-on. If your case is the same as mine, you'll have to do the following after re-installation of this add-on:
- Right-click above the title bar on empty space
- Drag the stop and reload buttons one at a time to the location you desire. Make sure the stop and reload are next to each other, otherwise it won't work.
- Click done in the window
The moment you click done, you will notice that the stop and reload become merged again.
I hope it works with you just as it did with me.
