- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut lohroc, viisi tuntia sittenScammer devs have updated the extension asking all sort of malicious permissions for an extension that all it does is enable dislikes to be show on YouTube videos.

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Emmy413, 10 tuntia sittenReally loved this extension, was a little wary at all the new permissions the new update required, and now the premium pop-up is the nail in the coffin. Removing it unfortunately. Not what I installed it for.

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Radnyx, 11 tuntia sittenUsed to be great and still is, but it had an update that started requiring too much personal information for just an extension that's supposed to bring back dislikes. Big thumbs down.
- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Nazriel, 15 tuntia sittenNot too much to say outside of; It works. It delivers its premise.

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Paranoid Eyes, päivä sittenRequires too much personal data these days, so I'm out.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Noyb, päivä sittenIt used to be a good extension, but now the new update requires personally identifying information, browsing activity, website activity and website content.
I can simply not accept the update, but for others who want to install the extension for the first time I cannot recommend it, as the trade-off is not worth it, in my opinion. - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 20225032, kaksi päivää sittenNeeds to many permissions after latest update
- Arvioitu 4/5kirjoittanut AR127_GAMERYT, kolme päivää sittenEffective , Good , Super Simple , I Like it

RYD hasn’t changed how it handles your data. What changed is how Mozilla labels these permissions - not what the extension does with your data.
Here’s the same problem discussed by Ajay, the author of SponsorBlock and DeArrow:
https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/the-new-data-transmission-permissions-seem-to-be-misleading-to-users/149410
The extension only uses the data it needs to show dislikes and count votes.
Its site permissions cover YouTube and its own API at returnyoutubedislikeapi.com. RYD doesn’t read other websites, and these site permissions cannot be used to access them.
Here’s what those permissions mean:
Personally identifiable information - RYD’s randomly generated, anonymous user ID, used to count votes. This isn’t your Google or YouTube account.
Browsing activity - opening the next YouTube video, so the extension can send its video ID and fetch the new dislike count.
Website content - things like the visible like count, which helps calculate dislike estimates.
Website activity - clicking Like or Dislike.
Again, this is about YouTube activity. The extension isn’t watching everything you do across the internet - it simply can’t do that with these site permissions.
The new labels sound scary, but they don’t give the extension access to more websites.
RYD is open source, so you can see how it works: https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 14551672, neljä päivää sittenkinda worked for a while, full of bloat and who knows what else now. not very reliable and gets sketchier each update. no thanks.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 20216950, viisi päivää sittenNewest update now "needs" permissions to collect data: personally identifying information, browsing activity, website content and website activity. No thanks

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut sonicbigboom, kahdeksan päivää sittenShould be a great extension, but guess we need "premium" features now. Are you kidding me? All this is supposed to do is simulate a fucking dislike bar and button.
You know, I didn't feel the need to mention this before, but this extension also doesn't allow you to see dislikes for videos where the user "disabled" dislikes? Again, are you kidding me? The dislikes are not handled by Youtube, it is by the user base of this extension. Who cares what the creator enabled/disabled! - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 17515365, kahdeksan päivää sittenwill this ever work in private windows again?
