  1. OpenRouter API Key:
    • The Extension requires you to provide your own API key from OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai/) to function.
    • This API key is stored locally in your browser's extension sync storage (chrome.storage.sync / compatible browser extension storage).
    • This key is only used to authenticate your requests directly with the OpenRouter API when you use the rewrite, translate, or follow-up features.
    • We, the developers, do not have access to, collect, or store your OpenRouter API key.
  2. Selected Text:
    • When you select text on a webpage and click the "Rewrite" or "Translate" button, that selected text is sent directly to the OpenRouter API for processing.
    • This processing happens via the OpenRouter API, authenticated using your API key.
    • We, the developers, do not see, collect, or store the text you select or process.

Third-Party Services

The Extension relies on the OpenRouter API to perform rewrite and translation tasks. Your interaction with the OpenRouter API (including the text you send and the use of your API key) is subject to OpenRouter's own terms of service and privacy policy. We recommend you review their policies:
Data Security

Your OpenRouter API key is stored using extension sync storage, which is designed for securely storing user settings within the browser environment.
