Usage Overlay for Gemini shows the Gemini app usage limits for your Google account: the rolling 5-hour limit and the weekly limit, with the time until each resets.

FEATURES
• Toolbar badge with your highest current percentage, turning amber at 70 % and red at 90 %.
• Popup listing each limit with a progress bar and the time until it resets.
• Diagnostics in the popup showing the raw values behind each percentage.
• Floating overlay on gemini.google.com:
– with or without a background (transparent mode)
– minimized to a single percentage, or hidden completely
– placed in any corner of the page
• Refresh interval from 1 to 30 minutes (default 5), plus refresh on demand.
• Follows your light or dark theme.
• English and Swedish interface.

HOW IT WORKS
The extension reads the same usage data that gemini.google.com shows under Settings → Usage limits, using your existing Google login in this browser. You need to be signed in to Gemini in the same Chrome profile.

PRIVACY
• No data is sent anywhere except the requests to gemini.google.com that read your usage.
• A request token from the usage page is used only for that request to gemini.google.com. It is never stored, logged or shown.
• No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party servers.
• The latest usage figures and your settings are stored only locally in your browser.
• The extension does not read your conversations.

PERMISSIONS
• Access to gemini.google.com: read your usage limits and show the overlay on gemini.google.com.
• Storage: remember the latest usage figures and your settings.
• Alarms: refresh the figures on a schedule.

• Unofficial and experimental. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Gemini is a product of Google.
• Google publishes no API for these limits. The extension uses an internal request of gemini.google.com that can change without notice. If in doubt, compare with Settings → Usage limits in Gemini.
• Only the default Google account in the browser is shown.
• Gemini API, Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist quotas are separate and not covered.
