The typereader add-on acts only when you double-click a word or select text on a web page. It does not read the rest of the page or your browsing history.

To translate, it sends the word with its sentence, or the selected text, to typereader (api.typereader.org). As on typereader.org, the words you look up are recorded with your learning data, and what you save goes to your dictionary.

The add-on keeps your typereader sign-in token, your languages and the list of sites where you turned it off in the browser's extension storage. It has no ads and no tracking, and we never sell your data.
