• The sidebar now notices when your session has ended and asks you to sign in again, instead of repeatedly showing "Failed to load tags."
• Works with a new Tagstash security feature: changing or resetting your password on tagsta.sh now signs you out on all other devices, including this extension. Just sign in again from the toolbar button.
• Connection problems no longer affect your sign-in. If Tagstash can't be reached, the sidebar keeps you signed in and you can retry.

Fixed: Expanding a tag in the sidebar now shows all of its bookmarks. Previously, tags with roughly 20 or more bookmarks had the extra ones cut off with no scrollbar or any indication they were hidden. The same fix applies to the Starred Bookmarks section.

New: Choose where bookmarks open

• Added a preferences cog next to the refresh button in the sidebar.
• You can now choose whether clicking a bookmark opens it in the current tab or in a new tab. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
• The default is unchanged (current tab), so nothing moves unless you want it to.

This setting is separate from the matching preference on tagsta.sh, so the sidebar and the website can behave differently if you prefer.

The extension now matches your Tagstash account's theme. Pick Slate, Midnight, or Light on tagsta.sh and the popup, sidebar, and settings page follow it automatically — there's no separate setting to keep in sync.

• The theme is read from your account when the extension signs in or refreshes your session, so changing it on the website carries over the next time you open the popup or sidebar.
• Signing in from the popup restyles an already-open sidebar immediately, without a reload.
• Signed out, the extension follows your browser's light/dark preference.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the sidebar would remain in the logged-out state after re-authenticating via the popup button following a session timeout. The sidebar now automatically reloads when a new login session is detected, restoring full functionality without requiring a manual browser restart or tab refresh.

• Edit bookmarks from the sidebar — hover a bookmark to reveal an edit button. Opens a full edit modal with title, URL, description, and tags.
• Tag pill editor in sidebar — the modal's tag input matches the site and popup behavior: press comma or space to add a tag, backspace to remove the last one, click × to remove individual tags.

Firefox Sidebar

The extension now includes a sidebar panel — open it from the View menu or the sidebar toggle to browse your Tagsta.sh library without leaving your current tab.

Tag Browser

All your tags are displayed as collapsible folders in the sidebar.
Click a tag to expand it and see the bookmarks inside, complete with favicons and clickable links.

Sort Options

Tags can be sorted by count (most-used first, the default) or alphabetically (A–Z) using the toggle in the sidebar header.

Design

The sidebar matches the Tagsta.sh dark theme — purple accent palette, Nunito font, and gradient header.

No Extra Sign-In Required

The sidebar uses your existing login session from the toolbar popup. If you're already signed in, it loads immediately.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed manifest validation errors (duplicate action key, non-square icons, missing icon files).
• Updated all user-visible labels from "Tagstash" to "Tagsta.sh".
