In short, the TabWrangler extension is a sort of companion app designed to supplement functionality presented to the user through applications like StreamDeck, LoupeDeck and Touch Portal.

All of these platforms present a series action oriented buttons that a user can customize for day to day use. In the case of TabWrangler, a user might design a button that does something as simple as “open a website” or as complex as “open a website on my work profile, but only if some form of it is not already open; if it is, just focus that tab instead”. Finally, TabWrangler also transmits “browser state” to any of the above “button platforms”. This allows for more complex button definitions that may also take browser events into consideration.
