TabWhy helps you recover the browsing context behind ordinary web tabs without manually organizing them.
When you follow links, TabWhy can show the source page, the link you clicked, a bounded snippet of nearby source text, and the trail that led to the current page. You can jump back to the source, return to the current page, open the full trail, and save useful trail snapshots for later.
Key capabilities:

- trace multi-page browsing trails;
- preserve independent Ctrl+click/new-tab branches;

- save useful trails locally;
- revisit recent live trails from the current Firefox session;

Privacy and control
TabWhy processes page URLs, titles, clicked-link text and bounded nearby visible text locally to build trails. Live context is kept in Firefox extension session storage; saved trails and exclusions are stored in Firefox local extension storage.
TabWhy 0.1.11 does not transmit this browsing context to a server and contains no telemetry or remote code. Private windows are not accessible to this version.
