Syncart Connect (browser extension, formerly Syncart for Facebook Marketplace) and Syncart DMS · Effective October 15, 2026

Syncart DMS is dealer management software for golf cart, trailer, shed and equipment dealers. The Syncart Connect browser extension helps a dealer who uses Syncart DMS post their own inventory on Facebook Marketplace and Instagram and keep their Marketplace listings up to date. This page explains what the extension and Syncart DMS do with data.

The short version
The extension only works for a dealer who has a Syncart DMS account and has connected the extension to it.
It only runs on facebook.com and on the Syncart DMS site. It does not read or track any other website or your browsing history.
It never sees or stores your Facebook password or your Syncart password.
We don't sell data, show ads, or use data for anything other than running Syncart for the dealer.
What the extension handles
Connection key A random key made in Syncart DMS (Connections page) that links this browser to one dealer's Syncart account. It is stored in the browser's extension storage. Syncart stores only a scrambled (hashed) copy.
Your inventory For a listing you choose to post or update, the extension downloads that unit's details from your Syncart account (title, price, description, location line and photos) and types them into Facebook's listing form for you. You check the form and click Publish yourself.
Your own listings On Facebook Marketplace pages Syncart opens for a job, or on your "Your listings" page when you click "Find my listings", the extension reads your own listings' item number, title, price, status (available, pending, sold) and link, and sends them to your Syncart account so each listing is linked to the right unit.
Instagram posts When you click “Post with Syncart Connect” on a unit, Syncart hands the extension the pictures and caption it made. The extension keeps the last few in this browser, opens Instagram, adds them to a new post and pastes the caption. You tap Share yourself. It tells your Syncart account whether the post was shared. It does not read your Instagram feed, messages, followers or profile.
Page reports When a step fails, the extension sends your Syncart account a short list of the button labels it could see on that Facebook page, so the problem can be fixed. No messages, names of buyers or other people's details are included.
Job results Whether a job (post, mark sold, mark pending, update, renew) worked, and the error message if it didn't, plus the browser name and extension version so your team can see which browser is connected.
The extension does not collect your Facebook or Instagram messages, friends, followers, contacts, profile details, payment information, location, keystrokes, or activity on pages it wasn't asked to work on.

Where the data goes
Data from the extension goes only to the dealer's own Syncart DMS account, over an encrypted (https) connection. Syncart DMS is hosted by Netlify (web app and server functions) and Supabase (database and file storage). They process data only to run Syncart. Each dealer's data is kept separate from every other dealer's.

We don't share or sell data to anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, or to train AI models.

How long it's kept, and removing it
Listing records stay in the dealer's Syncart account until the dealer deletes them or closes the account.
Click Disconnect in the extension to erase the connection key and everything the extension saved in your browser. Uninstalling the extension does the same.
An owner or manager can switch off a connected browser at any time on Syncart's Connections page, which makes its key stop working.

Permissions the extension asks for
facebook.com To fill in the Marketplace listing form, mark your listings sold or pending, update prices, renew listings, and read your own listings so they can be linked to Syncart.
instagram.com To open a new post, add the pictures and paste the caption you made in Syncart (you share it yourself).
syncart-dms.netlify.app To talk to your Syncart account and to connect the extension with one click from the Connections page.
supabase.co To download your units' photos from Syncart's file storage so they can be added to the listing form. Nothing is sent there.
Storage To remember the connection key, the current to-do list and the last few Instagram posts in this browser.
Alarms To check Syncart for new jobs every couple of minutes, and your listings every few minutes, while the browser is open.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children
Syncart is a business tool for dealers and isn't meant for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
