The Shifter extension stores your Shifter API key, selected plan, location and session settings only in your browser. It sends your API key only to Shifter (shifter.io) to load your proxy plans, and checks your exit IP and country on ip-info.com. While connected, your browser traffic is routed through Shifter's proxy servers under your Shifter plan. The extension does not collect, store, sell or share your browsing history or website content.
