OpenDownloader does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to its developers or to any third party.

Media detection and processing happen locally in your browser. Detection is off until you enable it for a specific site. The extension only makes network requests to the websites you are visiting, to fetch the media you choose to download. On Quark share pages, when you click "See what this page offers", the extension reads the file list from Quark using your existing Quark session in that page; nothing is sent to us.

If you install the optional OpenDownloader desktop helper, the extension talks to it on your own computer (native messaging / 127.0.0.1) to hand over torrent and magnet downloads. Nothing leaves your computer through it.

Settings and detection results are stored locally in the browser. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
