Marks: Text Highlighter is built for people who read, research, and organize information on the web.
Mark key lines instantly, keep highlights structured by page, and return to important context without friction.

Key features
- Highlight from the in-page control UI: Select text and use the on-page control to apply a color in one click.
- Multi-color system with custom colors: Start with 5 default colors (yellow, green, blue, pink, orange), then add custom colors to match your own workflow.
- Fast actions your way: Use right-click context menu actions or keyboard shortcuts, depending on how you work.
- Page-based organization: Highlights are tied to each URL and are automatically restored when you revisit the page.
- Minimap navigation: Scan and jump between highlights quickly, especially on long pages.

Sync and privacy
- Local-first storage with storage.local
- Browser-native cross-device sync via storage.sync when browser sync is enabled
- Optional encrypted cloud sync for platforms where browser sync is unavailable, such as Firefox for Android
