Focus Guard Pro DevAyu توسط

Do you open YouTube for a tutorial or lo-fi playlist, only to lose 30 minutes to Shorts?

Focus Guard is a minimal, developer-focused extension designed to protect your creativity from the "doom scroll." It blocks specific distraction URLs (like youtube.com/shorts and instagram.com) without breaking the useful parts of the site.

Why use Focus Guard?
Most site blockers are "all or nothing"—they block all of YouTube. Focus Guard is smarter. It detects the specific URL patterns of algorithmic feeds and blocks them, while leaving your watch history, playlists, and long-form videos fully accessible.

Key Features:
* 🚫 Smart Blocking: Blocks YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels by default.
* ✅ Playlist Friendly: Listen to music or watch tutorials without interruption.
* ⚙️ Custom Blocklist: Add your own distraction sites (e.g., Twitter/X, TikTok) via the settings menu.
* 🛑 Reality Check: Instead of a blank error page, you get a "Focus Check" reminder: "Shorts can destroy your creativity unless you are making a living out of it."
* 🌙 Dark Mode UI: A clean, aesthetic dark-themed blocking page that matches your dev environment.
* 🔒 Privacy First: No tracking. No analytics. No data leaves your device.

How it works:
1. Install the extension.
2. Try to open a YouTube Short.
3. The tab is immediately blocked and replaced with a gentle reminder to get back to work.
4. Need to block more sites? Click the shield icon in the toolbar to add custom URLs.
