Etherpad Archiver Barrett O. توسط

I grab things and stash them.

Etherpad Archiver is a Firefox extension for anyone who uses Etherpad for collaborative notes and wants reliable, local backups without complex infrastructure.

Features

• Manual archive - Click the toolbar button to save any pad
• Auto-archive on tab close - Never lose changes (configurable)
• SHA-256 change detection - Only saves when content actually changes
• Flexible folder schemes - Organize archives with templates like {project}/{year}/
• TXT and optional HTML export - Plain text is instant, HTML preserves formatting
• All settings in popup - No hunting through menus
• Background retry - Handles network hiccups automatically

Privacy First

• No external servers - Everything stays on your machine
• No telemetry - Zero tracking or analytics
• Local storage only - Uses browser storage and Downloads folder
• Your Etherpad sessions - Works with your existing logins

How It Works

1. Visit an Etherpad pad on a watched domain
2. Click the toolbar icon
3. First time: fill in title and choose folder scheme
4. Done! File saved to Downloads/etherpad-archive/

Subsequent visits archive silently if content changed.

Requirements

• Firefox 142+ (Manifest V3)
• Etherpad server with standard /export/txt and /export/html endpoints

Built for the magpies among us who like to collect things.
