What is sent: to show its card, the extension sends ChannelDB (channeldb.com) the ID of the YouTube channel on the page you are viewing, and the text you type into its search box. If you turn on score badges or fading (off by default), it also sends the channel IDs listed on that YouTube page.

Connecting an account (optional): only after you click "Connect" on channeldb.com, the extension also syncs your YouTube subscriptions, reads the channels of your watch history and liked videos (channel level, never which videos), and — if "Learn from what I watch" is on — how long you watch each channel. This is stored on your ChannelDB account to suggest channels. You can turn each off in the extension's settings, and see and delete it on your ChannelDB profile.

What is stored in your browser: your settings, channels you hid, a cache of channel cards, and the sign-in token if you connect an account.

Never collected: your name, email, passwords, YouTube account details, which videos you watch, location, or anything from other websites. No cookies or third-party trackers. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties.
