Auto-On Video Controls automatically enables the browser’s native controls on supported HTML5 videos, making playback easier to control across websites.

Instead of relying entirely on custom video players or controls that may be hidden behind overlays, the extension helps expose the browser’s built-in video controls when supported.

After installation, the extension checks whether the current website is enabled according to your selected mode and domain settings.

When enabled, it automatically activates native controls on supported video elements. It also continues monitoring pages for videos that are loaded dynamically, so newly added content can receive the same treatment without requiring a page reload.

You can manage the extension directly from the browser toolbar. The popup allows you to:

1. Choose between On all sites and Only on selected sites.
2. Add or remove domains from your configuration.
3. Quickly add the current website when supported.
4. Choose your preferred language.
5. Select a system, light, or dark theme.

Changes to your settings are applied to open pages automatically whenever possible.


The extension is designed for supported HTML5 video elements across the web. Some major video platforms are intentionally excluded from processing, including YouTube, Netflix, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Hulu, Twitch, Rumble, and Facebook.

Additional compatibility handling is included for websites such as Instagram and 9GAG, where page overlays can interfere with normal video interaction.


Auto-On Video Controls does not collect or transmit personal data.

Your preferences, including operating mode, included domains, excluded domains, language, and theme, are stored locally in your browser. The extension does not require an account, does not use analytics, and does not send browsing data to an external server.
