/archive for Slack - archive channels directly from your browser

Slack doesn’t make it simple to manage old or inactive channels. /archive for Slack gives you an easy way to clean up your workspace by archiving channels in bulk, without extra tools or complicated setups.

Why use it?
● Quickly archive channels you no longer need
● Works for public, private, and group channels (that you’re a member of)
● Built-in handling of Slack rate limits for smooth, reliable archiving
● Fully local: all actions run in your browser using your existing Slack session — no OAuth, no external servers

How it works:
1. Install the extension and open Slack in your browser
2. Select channel/channels from the list
3. Confirm and archive them instantly

Key features:
● Archive multiple channels from one place
● Clear interface to see which channels are eligible
● Prevents accidental archive of #general
● Progress tracking so you know what’s happening
● Non-admins can archive channels they’re allowed to manage

Privacy first
Your data never leaves Slack. The extension uses your active session to make requests directly to Slack’s API. No messages, tokens, or workspace data are ever stored or transmitted outside your browser.

Licensing
The extension requires a license key, available on Gumroad. After purchase, simply enter your key in the popup to activate.
