Useful for webmasters Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a great tool for checking whether CDNs and other dependencies like ad providers and analytics tools are v6-enabled.
Working fine here on 32.0b on OS X 10.9.
Just fine here with Firefox 16.01 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
After having installed protocol 'Microsoft TCP/IP Version 6' from within XP-SP3, even though I remain at this time IPv4 restricted, SixOrNot allows me to discover when a website is "IPv6 ready". Not to mention "information about all the domains contacted in order to load the page" (which is my first motivation). Nice. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.3).

This addon is great for displaying the IPv6 status of web sites. It also displays IPv6 info for external resources loaded from the web site. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.3).
Works FF v12 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Better than IPvFox. Needs location info added. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.3).
Not compatible after 7.0.1 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This extension works great on versions of Firefox up to 7.0.1 but is broken on version 8.* or greater. Neither the address bar icon or toolbar button will show up. Same with completely clean install of Firefox on 3 different systems. Needs an update for 8.* compatibility. Try 4or6 instead for a working IPv6 indicator in Firefox 8.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.6).
An updated version for FF8 compatibility has been submitted to Mozilla, you can download this now from:
Thanks for letting me know it was broken, I'll not be trusting the automatic compatibility reports in future...
Works nicely Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Fun add-on for IPv6 enthusiasts and useful for techies.
Latest version (v0.6.6) fixes local IPv6 address detection. Now works as described.
IPv6 address not detected Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Using this extension on Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, Firefox 5.0. SixOrNot does not detect the global IPv6 address in case both an A and AAAA is detected for the domain. For IPv6-only sites, this extension behaves as expected. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).
Thanks for your feedback - a fix for Ubuntu is in the works and should be out soon!
Best guess, no actual check Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Not 100% bullet proof: If your host has IPv6 configured and the domain has IPv6 in DNS, but you are unable to connect (IPv6 tunnel issues, etc). This case it does not detect the fallback to IPv4 protocol. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).
Thanks for your feedback. This is definitely a big limitation, I haven't been able to figure out a good way to get around this yet without having the addon actively try to communicate with the domain in question. Something to work on though!

Local IPv6 addresses are not detected (FF5, Win7/64 NL, native-ipv6). IPv6-Only sites show a blue icon. IPv4/6 sites a brown icon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).
Would you be willing to help me debug this issue? It would be helpful if you could as I haven't been able to reproduce the issue from the information in your post here. If so please do send me an email (email@example.com) and I'll do my best to get it fixed!
Great add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is just the thing I was looking for - a simple IPv4/6 indicator, that can be nicely embedded into an address bar. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).

Hi, i personally don't see a reason for showing the ipv4 only icon in the status bar. As it actually is there like all the time. Would be nice to find an option to disable/hide the status bar indicator complete if there is none of the ipv6 supported states found.
Working fine, even on Nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110613 Firefox/7.0a1
very nice! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A brilliant idea! I love this addon already. I dragged the icon next to my URL Bar so i can see in 1 eye if i connect through IPv6 or ipv4 ! excellent job!.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).

It works nicely. The toolbar icon is small but elegant, and it provides the right detailed information with a single click. Perfect for testing on World IPv6 day! (and beyond)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5).
