just wanted to say, if you really do it all by yourself, kudos to you, cuz thats a chunk of work. im a bum and penniless, but i figured a random saying thats impressive might boost your moral. continue improving, even if theres only one person left trying to better the world and themselves then theres still hope. however slim.

As of April 25, 2024 it appears YouTube has changed something. Downloaded videos including 360p are replaced with a 5min video containing the static message "The following content is not available. Watch this content on the latest version of YouTube".

Leaving 4 stars because this free extension has worked great in the past, and I hope it will work again soon. I only want 720p but the option for 720p is no longer there and the 360p version ends up being the above message.

Now working again, ~18.05.24. Not longer working, again. See below! Thanks, this addon is working again, 2 resolutions selectable, most of the time working. YT-DLG was the best, is not longer working, so this addon was the last resort. Others r downloading way slower. Since, ~22.4.24 it is broken again, i. e. the vid displays a warning from YT!

There were hick-ups in the beginning and it took a few days before the app worked. I emailed the company twice but never got any answer and that's a huge minus. But they obviously had attended the emails as the app now works perfectly. A scrubby start with a happy end.

720p downloading works! 1080p and higher is for pro users.
