NOT WORKING: Provider for Google 0.25, Lightning 2.6.3 or both? Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

Six months ago this problem came up, still unresolved.
My calendars are completely frozen, no way to roll-back, forums and support says TB 24.1.1 + Lightning 2.6.3 + Provider 0.25 are ok, but they are a piece of a junk together.
Tried again today, and after 1 hour I restarted Thunderbird in safe mode, disabled this damned "provider", adn staying without calendars. Well done!

It's just great. Just a suggestion: Copy the 'how to' from the wiki to this page so it's easier to configure the addon.

Does not work for TB 24.6; Lightning 2.6.6; Provider 0.25 Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

A great concept for but It does not work. I installed it but, as other reviewers note, Thunderbird will freeze upon the restart. After starting TB in safe mode and disabling the add on, I was able to use Thunderbird again. I'm sure it was useful in the past, but it no longer works on Thunderbird 24.6, Lightning 2.6.6, Provider 0.25.

i use this with postbox and it's a good idea ... until it just stops working. this (in concert with lightning) pulls in my calendars and i'm able to use it pretty much flawlessly for about a day after installing. then, suddenly none of my events appear on the calendar. they are all still in my google calendar. all of my calendars are still listed in the postbox calendar window, with the boxes checked, indicating i want them shown ... but the calendar itself is totally blank. if i remove and reinstall it, everything comes back. for a day. then 'poof' it's gone again.

Very useful addon Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

You should make sure to use the corresponding and compatible versions of Lightning and Gdata Provider. As I'm working with SeaMonkey (latest version 2.26 works fine with Lightning 3.1b1, Gdata Provider 0.30pre, and German language pack) I cannot tell you with versions you need. Could be helpful to look into the support forum:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/provider-for-google-calendar

And to look here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/ or here:

THis add-on has been very useful for me for a couple of years...then Thunderbird updated itself to version 24.5.0 just yesterday...now this app crashes Thunderbird. I'd write another review with five stars if this developer fixes the bug, but it seems pretty useless at the moment for Windows 7 users...anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?

Great utility. What Microsoft shou'dve done for Outlook Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Since moving to the Mac universe and the iOS universe I have searched in vain for something to sync Outlook for Mac calendars across machines. Enter Thunderbird, Lighning Calendar and Provider for Google Calendar.

Works great. A bit fiddly to set up, but once done, works well. Offline functionality still a bit wonky as it seems that all data is loaded from the "cloud" on startup of T'Bird. Maybe wrong, but that's how it seems.

Now my cals on the Mac Mini, Macbook Air, iPhone and iPad are all sync'ed. No need for the basic "iCal" on the MacOS platform which is somewhat basic.

useful addon, butt ... Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I like this add-on and "need" it ... well done.
But, i wish, it will be more developed. More little functions and possibilitys.
how ever ... thanks for this add-on.

Wow - talk about BAD INSTRUCTIONS from the developer of this. . o O ( sigh )

I was correct (for the most part on my thoughts - that the instructions were seriously missing something.)

Follow the instructions from the below LINK and it will work! :D I just had my calendar get ALL my appointments and such from Google Calendar!!

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-lightning-google-calendar

Again - follow it carefully and it will work.

I'm still giving it a LOW RATING - because the developer should have known this from the start and/or at least LINKED us to this site.

What is the URL? Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

Tried to use it. The doc said:
1 Open your Google Calendar -- OK!
2 Click on the Settings link located in the box at the right of the page. -- OK!
3 Click on the calendar you want to use with Thunderbird Lightning or Sunbird. -- I've just one ?
4 Click on either of the two XML buttons shown at the bottom. -- Never seen an XML button!

Does work... Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

Does work but... completely stalls Thunderbird on startup IF connected to the internet. starting with disabled internet-connection first, than enable the net, everything works fine for me. Win 7, TB 24.3.0, Lightning 2.6.4.

Good but no reminders on TB 24.3.0 and Lightnigh 2.6.4 Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

Would give 5* but I have loist my nice reminders when I enter my GMAIL schedule. Weird is I register a new event on my GMAIL but I get no reminders , no matter hwo I try.
I would appreciate a fix to thisplz :)
Previous TB and lightning versions worked excellent!

doesn't work since last lightning update Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

since the last lightning and thunderbird update (I am using kubuntu), thunderbird ist freezing about five seconds after start, if this plugin is activated. After deactivateing this plugin, thunderbird is working well, again.
At the Blogsite of Philipp Kewish the last entry is from 2013, September, so I think, there is no longer support for this plugin.
I am very sad about this, because the plugin was the only one, to be able to synchronisize and handle offline the google calendar.

Waiting for an upgrade to fix the "offline bug".

Fonction très utile mais ne marche pas en mode offline, car il fait buger thunderbird quand cette fonction est activée.
Bien mais en attente de ma mise à jour

Excellent tool - and it DOES work with Google 2-step auth Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I've been using this for a good year or so now and it's excellent at integrating my Google calendar with Thunderbird. Anything I add, whether it's in Thunderbird, on my phone, iPad or on the GMail website all get synced across all devices.

For the users who complain it doesn't work with 2-step verification and they have to keep entering their password... that's the point of 2 step verification, numbskulls! You need to log in to your Google account and into the security settings and set an application specific password to use! This will be given to you, a 16 digit code that you should use only for one application and can easily revoke by logging in to the same page.

Awesome tool. Many thanks to the developer! :)

It just works, and that's all you can ask for.

Have to login everytime after the Google 2 step verification Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

This has to be fixed like how Thunderbird email client handles it
