Functional, but buggy and unmaintained Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas
The add-on's basic functionality works, but it's buggy and a pain to configure, and it seems abandoned.
The option to prevent the add-on from tampering with links to certain domains doesn't work reliably. In some cases, Clean Links breaks hyperlinks even when those links don't contain any targeted patterns, link to an excluded domain, and the excluded domain is part of the exclusion regex. This can be verified by disabling the add-on and refreshing the affected page.
Moreover, to change the regexes or domain lists, you have to use a one-line textbox that doesn't disable autocorrect or autocomplete, which is an enormous pain on mobile. The regexes textbox is also badly implemented, popping warnings as you type certain characters because regexes shouldn't end with certain characters (why are you verifying onkeypress and not onchange?).
Mixed taste Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
Sure a Must Have, and works fine.
STILL, for years already, missed so handy and so boring without it - and so obvious! - an ability to open the uncleaned link right from the link context menu, without turning off a cleaning processing entirely.
So I'm in doubt between 3 or even 2. Well, 3 for a while.

Thanks for this gem-like add-on. Still tweaking, but works as intended...
Great Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
This add-on, as well as Pure URL, are must haves for cleaning up junk in URLs. Thanks!
Good but improveable Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
The idea is really good, but it does'nt work when you open to a new window.
Also, there is a lack of documentation and the options aren't easy to understand.
Breaks OneDrive page *NOT... ITS ACTUALLY GREAT* Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
I don't know why, but this addon makes OneDrive.com reload constantly. I wish there was a whitelist capability to stop that. otherwise, great addon though.
EDIT: Thanks dev for the quick response... I'm very sorry for being a bit of an Idiot. You rock.
Dear user, there is indeed a whitelist feature which you can quickly access by right-clicking the toolbar button, amongst several other options which you can see from the Add-Ons Manager.
Good addon but inadequate documentation Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
Can't give five stars because I can't find any documentation explaining what the options do. Also hasn't been updated in a long time.
Well Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
This addon is pretty useful but it's not e10 compatible. Please update this clean addon.
Awesome addon! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
Clean Links is one of my favorite "set it and forget it" extensions. I turn off some of the flashier features like link highlighting, and mostly it works hard to speed up my browsing and improve privacy. Especially nice on high-lag connections like satellite or slower mobile.
One bit of feedback: I had to add "|searchbyimage|SetOSID|webchat/load|static/proxy.html" to the default exclude list to get Google Image search-by-image working, GMail to log in without a redirect error, and Google Chat to work. (FF v50.0.2, CL v2.7.1-signed.1-signed).
Thanks Diego for all your hard work! Truly one of the great extensions.
update? Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
last updated in feb'15. isn't it a good time to take a look at 'to-do' list?
One of the best link cleaners, could use update Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
For the most part, this add-on does a good job of cleaning links and has a good set of options.
But there are some problems which are causing problems. For example, a hash sign (#) is getting appended to some links that are cleaned.
I've tried to determine if this is due to incompatibility with other add-ons--even disabling all add-ons--but I haven't been able to reproduce any consistent results.
Last, two requests:
1. Is there any way you can update the version of this add-on available on AMO or update the GitHub Exension Installer to work with GitHub?
2. Is there any way you can convert the "Skip Domains" configuration to a TextArea, i.e. one domain per line? This would make things easier to use for those of us that have a ton of whitelisted domains.
Must have addon Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

whitelist not working Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
support site is AWOL? great
i added my own domain to the whitelist and likes are still re-written
also, when disabling CL from the toolbar button, it is not completely disabled
AWOL? please elaborate :)
Whitelisting works per the domain being cleared, not the origin domain where a link might be found. Right-click the toolbar button too see which links were cleared and easier whitelisting.
As per the disabling issue, feel free to file an issue in the Github bug-tracker and we can discuss further there.
Question ?? Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
Can anyone tell me the exact reason to use Clean Links? In other words what is the best application for it? The benefits?
Enough of you rated this 5 stars so surely you can answer this...would be very grateful...thanks in advance.
Mouse gestures Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
This add-on is great in terms of configurability (regex), but for me it lacks one crucial feature: working with links opened via mouse gestures (e.g. right-click dragging). I often need to open links in a new tab, and mouse gesture is way more convenient than pressing Shift+Ctrl key while clicking. I really hope the developer will support mouse gestures (e.g. FireGestures) in a future release.
Another issue is that even if I configured Google to open search results in new tabs, Clean Links doesn't see that, and always opens links in place.
Finally, a weird bug I just found: on Firefox 45, if I remove the toolbar button, after the browser restarts, Clean Links will be disabled. You can re-enable it by restoring the button. It seems that the button must always show in the toolbar in order for it to stay enabled after Firefox restarts.
But this add-on is truly useful and has great potential. Thank you Diego.
