Old version had a much better interface. Right click anywhere on the page, block whatever or temp. allow all and ta-daaah! You can browse the website normally. Now if you block something wrong permanently, it's a huge pain to ublock. Hell, it can be a pain to permanently allow something as well.

I don't mean to sound like an arse, but really, the old version before the whole Firefox change was lot superior. :\

What are you looking at?

1) Right click anywhere in the page: the context menu is back.
2) Unblocking something set as UNTRUSTED: just set it to TRUSTED
3) Permanently allow: Just set it at TRUSTED

Not sure what version / product you're looking at, but it doesn't seem any recent NoScript, neither 5 nor 10.

Did you have any chance to check these?

Для мобильной версии браузере интерфейс хорош но не идеален. А вот для версии браузера для ПК еще работать и работать...

It’s a great extension, but it has some annoying things (in addition to the terrible settings panel, for which I have to hate Mozilla):
– The context menu entry is useless, as it only works if NoScript is available in the toolbar, from where I can open it, but it pollutes the context menu. I don’t remember it in the legacy version, but if you want to keep it, please add an option to get rid of it.
– If I trust a site over HTTPS, but I want to temporarily trust it over HTTP, the temporary option removes the permanent one.
– I get no information about what’s new. The legacy add-on opened the what’s new page on every update; maybe this is not suitable for the WebExtension, as it may update at any time and randomly opening pages are pretty annoying, so I think another icon, a notification or something like that would be better. And a setting to opt-out (or even opt-in) it to avoid same the problem as with the context menu entry.

OK, first release of the "new" version initially drove me mad and I uninstalled the add-on... decided to give it a chance after a while and yeee-haaa NoScript is back again! You have heard the critics and taken care of them, great thanks for that.

I have just imported my old big whitelist and all ok. I do not even mess with this new wacky interface too much. Can't understand all that anger about new version.
But add an option to hide "noscript" item from context menu at webpages. Or tell us ID of it so we can hide it through userChrome.css modify, like we hide crap as "send to device", etc.

Ever since it was updated to FF 57+, I've had to go through hell every time I landed on ANY site to 'sanitize' it. Sites like Amazon, Wired, my insurance company, my bank...etc. etc. I'm deleting it because it's more trouble than it's worth. Have never have any issues with nasty scripts when I use Chrome, but I like Firefox and sticking with it -- WITHOUT NoScript! Garbage!

There was an issue with window.name, but it has been fixed for a while

What version are you using, exactly?
There was a XSS issue with window.name, but it's been fixed in 10.1.6.5 and did not affect "ANY" site.
If you were on latest version and you kept getting into this problem, could you please provide more details at https://noscript.net/forum ?
Thanks.

i don't like the new interface, also the noscript slows down my browser ALOT! never was like this in classic noscript. when i disabled the addon, my browser was back to normal speed

There is no other Firefox add-on like NoScript (maybe uMatrix?). Giorgio Maone made a great work to adapt his add-on to quantum. The new version is perhaps more comprehensive than the legacy one but with less settings: no more advanced settings (ABE, ClearClick, ...)? So, is the protection as good as before?
In any case, thank you very much Giorgio!

A terribly UI has turned it into unusable. If you have to read a manual and see a video to understando how to do basic things, then it has a big problem.

Looking for alternatives.

Good luck with alternatives

I'm afraid if you're after security, and not just ad blocking, you're out of luck with alternatives.
On the other hand, I'm open to constructive suggestions about what's wrong with recent changes (which have been requested by users like you).
Feel free to discuss them here: https://noscript.net/forum

With the updates coming along nicely the extension is great again :)
But please make the new context menu item toggle, so it can be disabled again, i dont like the clutter.

This extension is probably the biggest reason why I switched from Chrome. I know Chrome has similar plugins but this one is highly configurable, effective, and easy to use

I said it before and will say it again, YOU NEED TO ADD A CONTEXT MENU ITEM so when I open a window within the site I am on, like for chatting with customer service or any other windows that open separately in the main site, I can disable or trust that window. The old noscript menu icon never showed up in these windows, but there was always a right click option, and now there isn't, although other add ons optimized for new Firefox have them, and yours still does not, so it's a huge fail until you implement this fix.

You can use the Alt+Shift+N keyboard shortcut

On popup (chromeless) windows (on any page, actually) you can already use Alt+shift+N to open NoScript's UI, with no need for cluttering the context menu.

[EDIT]
And now you've got the context menu as well. And of course, many users ask for it to be removed, and I'll need to make this configurable... :P

Thank you very much for your effort. Your add-on is great, you've succeeded in relaunching it, even though the WebExtensions API is really unattractive for developers. Please keep up the good work and do not let the DAUs get you down.

WTH is happen to the cool and smart NoScript Addon? The new user interface is the horror!
I can not put it into words so shocked I am. Honestly, how can you destroy an addon that always works well? Fail!

I just updated this add-on from the classic version and when I see the NoScript icon on the browser, I clicked on it but it is not giving me a drop-down menu. It's not working. Using Firefox 45.9.0 for this computer.

Update: I removed the new version and went back to the classic version. The new NoS version is very buggy.
