I Cannot Belive I Have Only Just Found This! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I have given this 5 stars two minutes after installing it for the simple fact that it has enabled me to block all those annoying 'eBbay Suggestion' and other elements that have been cluttering up eBay for years.

Finally, eBay as I want to view it.

When are these companies going to realise that I only want to buy what I want to buy and that they don't actually know what I want?

Only disappointment is that despite that fact that I have used ABP for years, I didn't find this add-on sooner.

Anyway, thanks for a great ABP add-on.

Easy, but efficient - great addon! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I am really impressed by what this addon is able to do and how easy it is to use! You really can "fine tune" a page using this extension and it cleans things up so very nicely. I would recommend this to any users with any amount of experience.

It works perfect. I use it to fine tune websites I visit often by hiding parts I do not want to see and take up space. Especialy the feature to widen and smallen the area is very helpfull. Thankyou for this great add-on

FF 37.0.1: Amazingly good stuff! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Flying ads are the answer to ad blockers, but they are annoying too. This one is the answer to the answer :-)
Just play with it at the add-on function
Adblock Plus >> Select an element to hide
and you'll get a silent screen again. *ROFL*
*COOL!*

I wish I had known about this way earlier Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

This is the best addon EVER (along with ones like NoSquint and that can change Firefox's system font)!!! I didn't know I needed it so badly, or that it could help me make the internet so extremely clean and 90's! In combination with the "Remove It Permanently" add-on, I can block anything I want extremely easily, which often ends up being anything that is ugly, annoying, or that clutters up a webpage.

Because I usually have the font size of a webpage enlarged, sometimes this really messes up the site's layout (because no one thinks about half-blind people and their layouts aren't at all expecting a font size bigger than 10px...) and then I can usually remove an image or something that's getting in the way of, say, the search bar.

Mostly I use this on sites that I'm visiting more than once. Good examples being online dictionaries (I blocked the tons of crap on Jisho.org where it says stuff like "This kanji is 22435 in book x"), Memrise (blocked a whooole bunch of text and images, including the header image), Tradera.se (blocked stuff like "my bookmarks" that obstructed the search bar), Tumblr (blocked stuff like "my follower count" and "suggested blogs to follow" along with the ad on the sidebar) and there's just various other sites I visit at least semi-frequently where I blocked things like chatboxes, Twitter feeds, Facebook/Twitter "like" buttons and so on. I think it's very important to note that you can also block specific small pieces of text, for example a single paragraph.

I'm not sure how much faster it makes pages to load, but it's not like I'm blocking all the images on a page either. I also have other addons installed that do stuff like block Google's tracking and hide all comments, which might help the speed... So for me it's not about loading stuff faster, it's just about making me way less irritated when I go online.

Like what my review title says. Once you play around with it and figure out how to use it.

No longer works since version FF35 update. Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

Coincidental with the release of FF 35, element hiding is totally broken on all of my systems. I'm looking forward to an update that restores the functionality of this valuable tool.

Same problem for me Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

I filtered an element 25.000 times since last october. Since yesterday the element is back. When I renew the filter, I get the same problems like Urnfs had reported.

Element Blocker issue today? Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Have used this for a couple years, and love it. Makes surfing the web at regular sites tolerable.

Today, however, there is an issue. It's like the element block is not functioning (or only partially) on about 75% of sites I use it for. Blocking is active on these, but all or most of the blocked elements are there. Don't know where to go to register the issue so I am here ... the comment below seems to be having the issue also. Hopefully some update will fix it. Reselecting the elements and hitting okay does not block.

doesn't work all the time Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

when it works it works great, but more often than not, i would choose an element to hide, the 'preview' will actually show the element disappearing, but after adding the rule, the element remains visible, and the hit counter for the rule shows 0.

Comes in handy when I need it Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Works well and I like it. I kind of wish it to be integrated with Adblock plus though.

Fantastic, but needs one fix Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

This is a fantastically useful add-on that makes my web experience much more pleasant (by allowing me to easily eliminate annoyances).

However, once annoyance that I can't seem to eliminate is with Element Hiding Helper itself. It drives me crazy having to manually hide that pop-up help window EVERY SINGLE TIME (and it always seems to cover the part of the screen that I want to look at too).

I've been using Element Hiding Helper for years, and as a result I've had to close that same stupid window over and over again, literally thousands of times. There are plenty of people like me who know full well what the hotkeys are, so there is no reason to keep nagging us with information that we already know.

I've never seen any option setting to permanently get rid of this irritating pop-up.
