Tab Groups

Hard to go back once you've tried it Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

This is one of the add-ons that would make it hard for me to use any other browser (not that I want to). And after FF removed tab groups as a standard feature, and this has become the better alternative, there have come some nice updates that make it an even better tool.

TabGroups Manager

Doesn't work at all Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

When I drag one or more tabs to a group, it makes a group with the name of each tab, each saying that there are zero tabs in it. In other words it's useless. Does anyone know if this bug has to do with the discontinuing that people write about (I'm a new user), or is it Mac related or maybe related to another plug-in?

I leave it two stars instead of one, because people seem to love this add-on, but I didn't want to give more stars to something that is completely broken for me.

Fullscreen+ for OS X

Does the job! Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

This was just what I was looking for! I can't believe it isn't included in FF. Though, it would've been nice, as Ivan wrote, to be able to access the browser hud by moving the cursor to the top edge like in Chrome. It's not a big problem for me, though, since I use the Tree Style Tabs plug-in, which still displays the tab menu, when moving the cursor to the left edge.

Custom New Tab

Much better alternative linked below Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

Like House wrote, default new tab page is still loaded, before it loads your chosen page, which is extremely annoying, when you start typing, and it's erased, when the new page starts loading. BUT he (House) was nice enough to share a link to an alternative, that does a perfect job of what this plug-in should do. I'll relink to it here (also in English instead of Polish):

Speed Start

A lot of potentials Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

This extension has potentials to be really awesome. I love the freedom to create your own layout and scale bookmarks up and down. Generally I love all the features that are there, but because of the ones that are not there, I unfortunately can't use this extension. I'll try to shortly describe what I would like to be included. The first ones the most important:

Move multiple “widgets” (bookmarks and folders):
I very often need to add a bookmark on the top of the page or between the ones already existing, and that's currently not possible without moving all the bookmarks and folders individually. There could be a selection option, maybe a select all (ctrl+A / cmd+A), maybe content could automatically be pushed down when dragging a bookmark above it. Also, the page expands when dragging bookmarks and folders down to the bottom and to the right (not sure about left), but not to the top.

Select URL bar in new tabs:
So we can write the URL without having to select the URL bar ourselves each time opening a new tab.

Default colour option for all colours:
I like my background to be light gray, not white, which I can define for each individual folder, but not as a default. Generally I would like to set the defaults for all the colour settings.

Here come the less important:

Default size related to grid:
When setting the default size of widgets, to keep the grid layout, you need to manually calculate the grid size. It would nice to just be able to chose how many columns and rows you want a widget to be as default, instead of pixels.

Clickable path:
It would be cool with a little path in the upper corner when you're in a sub-folder, that let's you click on the name of mother-folder to go to it. Like in the file browser in Windows and most Linux systems.

Add a note:
Simple text notes displayed just like the bookmarks and folders would be bad ass.

That's all I can think of. Hope it's useful. Let me know if you implement any of it.

Keep it up.

No longer saves screenshot, and doesn't close dialogue after adding bookmark Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

This has been one of my absolute favourite add-ons until a week or two ago, when it started not saving the screenshot thumbnail. It is shown in the save dialogue, but when I click OK, the dialogue doesn't disappear as it should, the bookmark is saved, however, but it has no picture, only an annoying blue placeholder globe representing... the internet, I guess. I don't remember updating either the browser or the plug-in (were any of those updated?), I might have updated the OS. The last thing I remember doing with the ViewMarks before it broke was mistakenly putting my custom title into the URL field, obviously making the bookmark unusable and image-less, I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem, but now you know to avoid doing that, and if the developer reads this, maybe he got a clue to how to fix it. I really hope he does, I need ViewMarks, but can't use it like this.

Hide Navigation Bar

Could have been awesome Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

I also have a Macbook, and can't use this plug-in for full screen mode, which was the sole reason, I downloaded it. Would have been great if I could, but since it's useless for me, I can't give it a good review. But let's say it worked for me, then a feature I would wish for would be to auto hide it, which you already can, and then auto display it again when hovering over the top of the window. I think full screen mode works like that in Chrome for reference.

Browsec VPN

BE CAREFUL with this add-on! I'm stuck in the Netherlands :( Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

It's working, yes, The Netherlands is the only option, and it's not high speed as others write, but that's fine for me, it does the trick. But neither of those is the major problem (in my case). I wanted to disable it temporary, but clicking the button didn't do anything. I checked by typing "show my location" in google, and even though it should be disabled, it told me I was still in The Netherlands. Strange, as I could have sworn I was in Denmark.

So I uninstalled the add-on as it clearly didn't work as supposed. And guess what, Google still tells me that I'm in the Netherlands. I simply can't get rid of this VPN no matter what I do. Maybe I could reinstall Firefox, but I rather wouldn't. So if you don't want to get in my situation, don't install this add-on, unless you know better.

And if anyone reads this, who has already installed it or is going to, please check if you have the same problem (google: "show my location"), and include it in a review like me, so it can be brought to the developers' attention, and so other people wont get in the trap.

EDIT: It seems I managed to fix it. By going to Firefox preferences > advanced > settings (under connection, the first button) I set my proxy settings to system default, but I guess any other setting than manual (which it was on already, probably Browsec did that) will do, unless of course, that you change the values under manual settings into something meaningful. In my case system default should be the same as turning it off, as I don't have any default proxy, as far as I know.

EDIT 2: Apparently this didn't only bring my location back to normal. I gave the add-on another chance, now that I know how to go back, and I just tried checking my location repeatedly while turning the VPN on and off, and it worked! When it was on, it told me, I was in Amsterdam, and when I turned it off, it immediately sent me back to Denmark. So now I can actually start using this add-on as intended. I'll give it a third star for that, I guess.

Video DownloadHelper

Freemium crap Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas

I rarely write a bad review, but here it comes:
Once you have finally got it working after installing the required software using the terminal, and (at least in my case) try seven times, before it actually downloads the video instead of displaying an error message, you see a big, solid QR code in the corner of the video, which, when scanned, kindly shows you how to pay them to get red of the bloody QR code. No thank you Sir. At least the interface design is great ... riiight.

I give it two stars, because it actually gave me a video in the end, not one I could use because of the QR code, but it did the job after all.

Best bookmark experience, I've had – with room for improvement Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I've just changed to FF from Chrome and browsed the add-ons, and this one is one of my favorites. I've been searching for something like this in Chrome for years, and nothing really compares. I mean, it's not really that good looking, but it's acceptable, and the features are amazing.

However, offhand there are two main features, I miss:

- An option to apply a custom wallpaper. The grey one is acceptable, but a bit too dark for my liking. The patterned ones are downright ugly.

- An option to open all bookmarks in a folder. That would make the add-on a brilliant session manager.

- Being able to drag bookmarks into folders as well as drag/edit several ones at the same time and also an option to sort bookmarks and folders differently and maybe a little facelift to the interface or just some more customization options, so we can do it ourselves, would be much appreciated as well, but those are not as important as the first two ones, I think.

With all these features included as well as the great ones already there, this add-on could be one of the very best I've had. Maybe top 3. It's already really good though.

simple and nice cork wall

Great look but with flaws Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

I actually searched for a cork theme and found this texture being really great. Unfortunately the text on the tabs is brown and therefore unreadable. A less important drawback is a visible line, where the texture loops, and the fact that the new-tab-background is still boring white (if this is changeable?). These small things, especially the first one (which kills the theme), take two stars from the overall rating.

Fantastic! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I have tried a lot of ad-ons, and this is one of the best! With the simple and user friendly but still advanced menu it makes browsing much more easy.

I miss a buttom to move the menu (in the middle) when it reaches the edge, and I can't click the buttoms off-screen.
A bookmark menu would also suit it
With these functions added I would give it 6 starts, if I could.

Really handy little tool! But the "Select the adress line ..." doesn't work for me.
