Empty menus Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas
Needs to be updated. When opening menus from the menu bar or from right-clicking it will open an empty transparent menu. You have to repeatedly open the menu to fix it. Using FF 28.

This doesn't work for me. I don't see any context menu when I highlight the words and right-click. I'm using FF 28.0.

The developer has time to scan through these reviews and delete comments with links to alternative addons but doesn't have time to update his own addon or keep us updated on what's happening?
There's nothing wrong with people posting other addon links, especially if yours hasn't been updated in over 2 years. There is no reason to fear competition if you believe your addon is superior. You should welcome it actually.
If you haven't abandoned this addon then keep people updated on what's going on, that you're aware of the incompatibilities, give timetables on when you think it might be fixed, on when v2 is coming out, or tell people it's ok to use the alternative addons but to check back here because this is still in development.
But deleting comments to keep users from finding out about alternatives while also being unable to use your outdated addon is weak sauce man.
Regular Google search doesn't work Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
It changes your search term in the text box and adds /setprefs?prev=http://www.google.com/search?q=yoursearchword and then gives you a 414 error: The requested URL /search... is too large to process.
Google SSL still works though and I should probably be using that anyways but just wanted to point out this problem.
Problem with .mkv files Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
I noticed starting with FF 17 when you try to download a link to a .mkv file, FF will try to open it in the browser and fails saying the video is corrupt instead of downloading the file. Disabling this addon fixed it.Este usuario tiene una valoración anterior de este complemento.
Why even have an option to send anonymous info? Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas
You realize that providing a program that auto-copies text and having an option that allegedly sends anonymous statistics somewhere makes people worried right?
This is no doubt a useful extension but the privacy issues are troubling. I think it would make all of us feel better if you got rid of this statistics gathering option.

I used the original GM in the past and this one seems to work great. I still prefer my current addon, Gmail Checker, because I can delete, archive, mark as read, my email right from the toolbar instead of having to load the gmail page. It's way more convenient.
But this is still a good extension and I would go back to this if I couldn't use Gmail Checker. The one advantage this has over Gmail Checker is that each account can be configured to check mail at different intervals, where as Gmail Checker only has one setting that applies to every account.
I also prefer Gmail Checker's way of organizing the accounts. Having all accounts and email previews under a single toolbar icon.
If you can add these things to Gmail Manager I would switch over in a heartbeat!
Works but has a few bugs Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
When it's working it works well but there are some bugs with it. Your user agent will get reset to default after every restart unless you add an entry to about:config. Create a new boolean entry 'useragentswitcher.reset.onclose' and set it to false. That will fix the reset problem.
Then there's the issue of Agent Switcher not working at all sometimes. For some reason Agent Switcher won't work on my main profile for FF 11. It installs but the user agent list is blank and nothing happens when I import a list and creating a new user agent doesn't work either. I had to create a new profile for it to work. On FF Nightly (FF 13) I never had any problems. Strange.
The UA list that comes with the addon is pretty weak. I don't know why the developer doesn't include a full updated list. It wouldn't be hard to do. I went to http://techpatterns.com/forums/about304.html to download a fairly recent updated list. So this addon can work but be prepared to tweak it if necessary.
Ok but heavy handed approach Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
It works by completely removing all .gif images so they can't load but it also blocks useful non-animating type gifs on some sites, like dictionary sites (merriam-webster, tfd), that use gifs to show the audio icon or pronunciation key.
A better approach would be to load the gif images and then stop any gifs that are animating. Or offer it as a separate option. I know pressing the Esc key stops any animating gifs. Maybe you could have this addon automatically press the Esc key after the page is done loading or something.

Works fine but would be more useful if it also showed which search number you were currently viewing. For example if there were 10 matches for a search word and you were looking at the 3rd one from the top of the page then it should say 3/10 or 3 of 10. I think that would be more helpful.
If you hate navigating folder locations to save your files then get this Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
This add-on is an extremely handy timesaver. Navigating folder locations to save your files is one of the most mundane, repetitive, and annoying tasks in a computer user's world. Anything to make this process simpler is a winner in my book. And this add-on definitely does that.
It'd be nice though if there was a way to import/export your settings so you don't have to set up all your folders again if you have to reinstall firefox.
Yes finally! Thank you! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
Leave it to a savvy FF user to come up with a solution that the FF developers could not or would not do for years. I've been supremely annoyed by torrent files not opening automatically even though I have the option checked to "do this automatically..." This add-on makes them all work now. This is a must-have if you've been frustrated by files not doing what you want, which I think is almost all FF users out there.
Kudos to Kai for this add-on. You have eased the suffering of one more FF user. One suggestion though. You might want to change the name of this add-on to a better sounding name; something more intuitive so people that are searching for an add-on for this problem can come across it and recognize it easier. How about: Do This Automatically For Real!
Does what it says Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
Simple add-on that works fine. I use it with Mouse Gestures so I can switch tabs with the mouse. I created a new gesture and then entered the keyboard shortcut for Focus Last Tab (Ctrl+Alt+Tab) in the keyboard tab, assigned a gesture, and bam it works beautifully. Thanks for the add-on!
Great but has some tiny bugs Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
This is one of the best screenshot add-ons. You can take screenshots of the entire page, visible page, or just make a selection. Best part of making a selection is the ability to scroll the page while doing so. This is the only add-on I've seen that lets you do that. The default color for the selection's border and background is excellent and is easy to see what you're capturing.
The only things that bother me though is when saving in .jpg format it saves the file as 'jpeg' instead of 'jpg'. If you view files by file type it messes up the order.
Also when capturing a .jpg selection as 'Save As' the default file name ends in .png. So your file explorer and image viewer programs sees the file as a .png even though it's really a .jpg. Kinda annoying. I hope the developer can fixes these tiny issues.
Good but needs to be able to scroll while selecting Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
I used the modified version of Screenshot Pimp that doesn't have all the junk in it. Works fine but you can't scroll the page when you need to select something that's larger than the visible page which is annoying. Screengrab has this problem also. Sure I could copy the whole page but then I'd have to edit and cut the image. Screen Capture Elite is the only add-on I've found that can scroll when capturing a selection but that add-on isn't perfect either.
Why is it so hard to add a scrolling function?
A Worthy Alternative to Tab Mix Plus Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas
This is a great alternative if you can't or don't use TMP. It's got almost all the same features and some new ones of its own. The options menu is better organized compared to TMP's. One nice feature that TMP doesn't have is the retain session history option. It's basically the same as the Tab History add-on. This was actually the reason I wanted to try Tab Utilities. I was hoping the retain session history would apply to tabs opened from the History sidebar like Tab History used to have but it doesn't, which is disappointing.
It also lacks a transparency feature to use in combination with tab colors and backgrounds. You can set the tab background to be completely transparent but you can't adjust the background color transparency like TMP can which I liked because I'm using the Sky Clouds persona and it looks nice with slight transparency colored background. It's also missing some main context menu items like the Closed Tabs list. There are hidden options you can tweak in about:config to add that probably but that's too much hassle for me.
I think I'll stick with TMP but I'll definitely keep this add-on in mind if I have issues with TMP.
You know what's annoying! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
Yes! I thought I was the only one that noticed this annoying issue in FF4. I hate when I'm reading the details of an add-on near the bottom of the menu and then when I go back it resets to the top! Can't believe nobody from Mozilla had a problem with this. Thanks firefox lady!!Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (0.8.0.1-signed).
Needs more tweaking Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
I preferred the original Add-ons Manager from FF 3.6 so I wanted to like this but it needs more work. It's actually worse than FF4's new AOM for several reasons. First off, it always opens full screen and it doesn't remember the window size when you open it next time. Having to resize everytime is annoying and if it's going to open in full screen everytime then it's really not that much different than opening AOM in its own tab, and at least I can see the other tabs and the toolbars with FF4's AOM.
Secondly, this takes a lot longer to open and load compared to FF4's AOM. Resizing and moving the window around also is laggy. It makes it hard for me to want to use it. Furthermore, if you have add-ons like Stylish or Greasemonkey and you click Manage Style or Manage Userscripts it doesn't automatically jump to the correct menu. It'll open AOM but be focused on the wrong menu configuration, like Plug-ins.
Unless you can make it pretty much the same as the old AOM then it won't be worth using. Right now it's too big and slow and annoying to use. I've installed Slim Add-on Manager instead and it makes FF4's AOM more acceptable to use.
Update 11/22/11: Gave this another try after seeing this addon was updated. The resizing problem has been fixed. The lagginess seems to be gone. The "Manage Userscripts" and "manage styles" in greasemonkey and stylish open to the correct section.
But there are still a couple issues. The back button on my mouse no longers works in AOM. Before, when you clicked 'More' on an extension and then click the back button it's supposed to take you back to the list of addons but it doesn't work anymore. Also, the Addons Manager Hilite extension doesn't work with this extension. If you fix those problems I'll give this a 5. It gets 3 1/2 stars now.
Ver. 3.0 buggy Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas
I'm using FF4.01. I have the option "Search for text when I start typing" checked in Firefox Options. When I start typing, firefox's find bar will open instead of this one. Then if I press Ctrl + F this add-on's bar will appear on top of firefox's bar. So I will have two Find bars on the screen.
I downgraded back to ver. 2.2 and everything still seems to work fine. The only issue I've come across is when I right click on the Find bar the little box that says Options and Close is transparent. Not a big deal. So I guess I'll stick with this one.
Makes life a little easier :) Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas
One possible issue: If the word you're searching for is listed more than once on the visible page, the subsequent words will not be centered when you click the find Next button. Only if the word is offscreen does it get centered. Not necessarily a bad thing or good thing but some people might prefer to have every word centered while others don't care. Maybe you can give an option for this?
Anyways, thanks for this little add-on White Alice0775. I love how many of your add-ons are for fixing tiny annoying problems of firefox. It makes our browsing experience so much better and easier. If Mozilla included most of your add-ons to Firefox it would be such a nicer browser to use! Thanks!
