omg! why is this not default behavior?!
this addon works good to instantly kill any website matching the ones entered in the blacklist, the sad part about this addon is the process could be made so much more simply and seamless for the user. for example add a popunder button inside the navigation bar similar to the STAR for adding favorites but instead would add sites to the kill list.Currently, not only are burdened with copying and pasting it into the list, its a real pain to go digging for it under options> addon> then scrolling through the list off extensions in the addon manager to then finally hit options button on the addon entry. that's a lot of clicks just to get to the list. more surprising yet, is this is the only addon of its kind which is alarming considering how popunders are on the rise.
this is garbage, reload the page and the elements come right back, so whats the point. the icons are terribly ugly. minimal effort put forth by the author, at least try next time. YARIP has the same function integrated and its permanent. in addition does much more filters, blacklist, whitelist, domain, etc.Este usuario tiene una valoración anterior de este complemento.
valid points made by iBreniaR. i disagree with the developer as well, removing buttons because you think its too busy? isnt that the whole point in having an addon manager. its always been there and its always been fine having it there. but then here you are removing buttons. how is someone supposed to uninstall a userscript?!
this addon BREAKS being able to uninstall greasemonkey or scriptish scripts as the Remove button has been uh...removed. in fact you cant even find Remove in the context menu!!!! as there isn't one there normally for scripts, Uh oh!. this is most likely the biggest problem facing Classicish addon but its critical isuue for anyone using userscripts, something you do install and uninstall frequently. instead, how about an option instead of forcing these changes on by default and breaking things. that said, i still like this extension a lot. i hope it gets fixed up right away and stays around for a long time.
for the interim at least post some instructions on what file to edit to get the Remove button back on there ourselves, hopefully with out the need for another addon. i have no interest installing Stylish just to fix a UI problem in Classicish. just tell us what file to edit and what to change it to, thanks.
ok, but i really dont get why its limited to only begin saving until atleast 10 characters are typed. this limitation greatly impacts usability. i still prefer lazarus over form history, because lazarus more often than not saves that crucial bit of info that makes it indispensable.would be better if it had more aggressive saving functionality.
Still no Palemoon support? mozilla continues to make bad UI decisions with every new version, Palemoon is pretty buch Firefox but with a carefully selected feature set for a better user experience. Please Kim, its been long time coming, add support so we can enjoy your work in the more user conscious and friendly Palemoon browser.
dont have "Bookmark This Tab" ...seriously, where do you get that.
it feels kinda slow to me. also, doesn't handle Right mouse button smartly like it once used to. ScrollbarAnywhere worked best in Firefox 1 and 2, (yes, thats how long i've been using it) then firefox updated beyond compatibility and i switched to Gesture addon that had similar functionality integrated. then finally switched to Grab and Drag. i modded Grab and Drag to have crazy amount of acceleration and as a result is snappy like the way scrollbaranywhere used to be. while G&D's handling of right clicks isn't perfect, its still better than what we have here. the problem is Scrollbar Anywhere should extent timeout of the context menu the moment you begin scrolling until after the right button is released to avoid accidental context menu trigger or something like that. Scrollbars wants to do both when i let go of the right button. i only want to see the context menu when i right click, not when i right click and scroll. i don't want to see the context menu pop up after every dam time i scroll the page, Scollbars addon never used to do that back in the day. Will keep it as is, but hoping the creator can figure out a clever way to address the right click context menu.
i hope the develper isnt finished with this addon because here is a solid foundation for what could be an amazing cookie addon. one glaring oversight is when selecting to Show cookies, it would make sense if the cookiekeeper window show cookies for the current site, instead of having to first manually copy the domain and paste it into the filter box. Aside from that, and few other bugs, i like the feature set. with some work this is one addon that could standout from the rest.
agreed this needs to work on unfocused tabs otherwise it is pointless. initially thought it worked but then on closer inspection i see the name field is populated with the tab that is in focus, so Bookmarking unfocused tab from context menu is not working with this addon. someone needs to step up and finish this but even after all these years and still no fix.
adds a nice set of icons but at a high performance cost. firefox consumes more cpu and bigger memory footprint and working set with the addon installed and enabled. too bad
pointless and poorly made, you can already do this without the addon by adding a bookmark about:addons to bookmarks toolbar. Perhaps the author should take a look at this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/add-ons-toolbar-button/
and create an updated version based off the better code
i cannot for the life of me figure out what to call the 3 ... dots near the bookmark star nor what its function serves beyond adding clutter and distaste. its shown in the 2nd picture with the caption at the bottom "bubble, arrow and invisible alligator" well? which is it. is it a bubble, an arrow or invisible alligator i cannot tell. like others, i find the options have no effect and whenever i re-open the options they are back to default no matter what i set them too. can you provide a way to remove the ... in options or at least describe what file to edit in the xpi to make this disappear while retaining core funtionality of the addon? thanks.
i have to agree with some of the other reviews that give Location Bar Enhancer a low score, i like the idea and was thrilled initially when i installed it but then i soon realized when you have long address with many subdomains or levels how bad this extension is, taking up the entire locationbar and especially troublesome when you have other location bar addons like a few of the many whois type flag addons installed where there was a messy overlapping of information. had to uninstall it,
the popularity icon is really ugly and pointless and takes up valuable space, when you can just give the same mouse over hover functionality to the flag icon itself. No options whatsoever leaving a lot to be desired.
one issue on firefox 31 which is what the latest Tor browser is built on, there is no entry under the Tools menu, its missing. Other than that it is working perfectly.
i will never understand why the mozilla team continues to make idiotic choices and cripple the UI by removing needed features like the statusbar. i am sure you know what i mean, thank you for this.
hmmm, the first time i installed it there was no "Options" visible, therefore i did not see a way to set any preferences. installed a second time did the trick, thank you for the reply i would have given up on this had you not responded.
i would imagine this could be a good addon but the button is not showing up with the latest palemoon browser, too bad.
thank you for your comment LL25255252
