TabsRight

Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

Testing on FF 9.0a1 (nightly at this moment), after manually editing FF maxversion parameter into install.rdf file.
I haven't observed that JS popup the 2 previuous posters described.
What I've observed is that if I don't check "Focus left tab when closing current tab" option, to focus the right tab on closing, this behavior is not always achieved. If I close tabs quickly with keyboard shortcut, sometimes I'm closing a left tab and not always a right tab, it's like it takes some time to change focus... and it's very annoying. Also, I'm not usign TabsGroup Manager that may have interfered with this option.

Now I'm using Tabs Open Relative (Modified) which perfectly fit my needs.

Show Anchors 4

Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

It is the same Show Anchors addon with a maxversion parameter change, it does not solve any problems about transparent context menus in nightly (at least, it's what I'm using now). Also you can find the addition of nonsenses like this (yes, he actually added a photo of him with his friend, you can check... don't know who's he, the one atop or the one under): http://i.imgur.com/gPLig.jpg

Tabs Open Relative (Modified)

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Working right in FF 9.0a1 (Nightly), But it should be modified in order to create the needed options in about:config in order to make it work without further user intervention, if needed.

Scriptish

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Great addon, Greasemonkey with very nice extras. And now Greasefire is compatible with it.

If you're planning to use Scriptish 1.1.3 on a FF with an es-ES locale, there's a bug in the chrome.manifest file, where it says:
... locale/es_ES/locale ...
it should say:
... locale/es-ES/locale ...
This way you won't have problems opening the addons manager the first time you open it each time you restart FF. Or you can wait for a new version or use the last Scriptish nightly build:
https://github.com/scriptish/scriptish-nightlies/downloads

RefreshBlocker

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

It does what it claims. The addon also works on FF 11.0a1 (nightly at the momento), after manually editing firefox maxversion parameter into install.rdf file. I think that white/black lists is a better approach than that of the built-in FF feature to avoid all or none redirections.

This extension only blocks META refresh, not javascript refresh, but there's a solution for that, I found a userscripts.org script (for GreaseMonkey or Scriptish addons) https://www.userscripts.org/scripts/show/35375 which I've succesfully tested in drudgereport.com (example pointed in previous reviews here) after adding the URL, or a wildcard, in the include list of the script options (but be careful with the wildcards as using it kinda whitelist mode, in some pages, will block interstitial advertising loaded previously to the loading of the main page, so it could block the latter, and doesn't have alerts).

I second previous reviewers asking for an option to place an icon in the status bar to ease the addition of white/black lists rules; and also asking for an option to avoid the alert message on blocked META refresh, that's something that can be alerted through statusbar icon also.Although fortunatelly, you can remove the alert message strip by manually editing the addon, but be careful because you won't get any feedback when redirections got blocked and you may not notice it missing something... using 7-zip:
- Open compressed file (.xpi addon file)
- Go to ..\chrome\RefreshBlocker.jar and Open Inside it
- Go to ..\content\RefreshBlocker.js and edit (F4) it
- Remove code from (including, search it):... this.addNotification ...until the (including):... } ... inmediately previous to (excluding, search it)... this.isBlocked ...
- Close editor and 7-zip accepting to overwrite and to update the compressed file when needed

And about the addon options, it's needed more information... is debug mode creating logs? where? maybe a button can be added to acess log from options window or from a potential status bar button. Is the javascript regular expressions https://developer.mozilla.org/en/JavaScript/Guide/Regular_Expressions the only way to use "wildcards" in the white/black list as it seems? It should be specified that javascript regexp doesn't seems to work if they are enclosed in /slashes/ as the guide I linked right before claims...Sumarizing, this addon has pontential to be a must have addon if author could add the javascript refresh block feature, add previously described extra options, and add a bit of user help.

Minimize Addon-Bar

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Nice addon, but I don't like it to overlay the scroll bar.

Since what I was Iooking for was a way to autohide addon bar, I tried sucessfully to make Minimize Addon-Bar to work with AutoHide Statusbar addon, which now it's not hosted here, and also the latest version released, 0.4.7, it's not even hosted in the developer's web page
http://caspar.regis.free.fr/ahs/
but you can find it here
http://www.thunderbird-forum.de/board72-download-database/board86-firefox-erweiterungen/board88-konfiguration/p12521-autohidestatusbar/#post12521
AHS 0.4.7 works with FF>=4 at least to FF 8.0a1 (nightly at this moment) along with Minimize Addon-bar (while the previous versions of AHS addon I could find, don't work along with MAB), but with some limitations:
-- AHS 0.4.7 only hides status bar (FF<4) specific icons, which means it doesn't hide current addon bar (FF>=4) specific icons (both status and addon bars specific icons are mixed in the new add-on bar tha substitutes status bar in FF>=4). At this moment add-on bar specific icons are a minority, I only have 2 of them from NoScript and Scriptish addons among a bunch of other addons, so that AHS 0.4.7 bar doesn't hide that icons nor the button to show/hide the bar MAB creates, but as long as that the amount of addon bar specific icons in the different addons around grows, the part of the bar that AHS 0.4.7 don't hide, will be not so big.
-- As AHS is not being updated regularly, there's some inapropriate things, like the feature for showing the status bar when hovering on a link, in FF>=4 this is a browser feature; with MAB, link info on hovering shows appart the add-on bar so AHS feature about it, is not needed. AHS 0.4.7 on FF>=4 behaves weird or doesn't work if some preferences set are selected, making it to permanently hide the status bar icons (as if that specific option was selected), or making it to hide the AHS icon in the addon bar. I use this preferences set that make this addon work on FF>=4 for me
http://i.imgur.com/102ZT.png
-- Also, when changing settings of AHS 0.4.7, I needed to restart for the new settings to take effect, specially after a non working preferences set was in effect.
-- Finally the AHS 0.4.7 is only working for me on maximized windows, i.e. it doesn't show the hidden status bar specif icons on hovering the bottom of the window for non maximized windows.

There's also an alternative (better one for me) to autohide the addon bar with Stylish addon and some of the userstyles available:
https://encrypted.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=autohide+addon+bar+site%3Auserstyles.org
My favorite is:
http://userstyles.org/styles/45050/addon-bar-auto-hide-fast-fade-in-slow-fade-out
easy to edit for tweaking settings to remove visual effects, with this one I can get a very similar output with a fixed size addon bar as this Minimize Addo-Bar addon gives, but being able to hide all the icons in the addon bar, not only the status bar specific icons, and the hovering trigger at the window bottom works despite the window is not maximized, in opossitiion to AHS previously described behavior.

Great. Working fine.

Copy Link Text

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Nice extension, but I found it makes exactly the same as Copy Link Name addon but with twice the size of that. It is working fine on FF 7.0a1 (nightly) after editing maxversion into install.rdf file. Also, for your info, CoLT addon is a richer feature addon of this kind.

ArchView

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Great extension. Very handy the status bar button to enable or disable its function.
But it's not working for FF 4.0.1, it shows status bar button, but its context menu is showing a transparent background, and it simply is not working when you click a .zip file. It needs an update.

Add-ons Manager Dialog Returns

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Not working for me while Slim Add-on Manager is enabled on FF 6.0a1 x64 on W7x64. Otherwise working right.

Slim Add-ons Manager

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Great. It's working on FF 6.0a1 after editing maxversion in install.rdf file. It's just what I need, at least until Filter Extensions addon is updated to work on FF 4 and above versions (and even after that =) ).

I suggest to show addon description after addon name and version, even though line gets trimmed in small screens.

SafeCache

Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

It seems to work right in FF 6.0a1(nigthly at this moment) x64 on W7x64 after making the maxversion trick in install.rdf file to allow install. It seems to be still a needed extension for FF>=4 (contrary to SafeHistory extension) as the third of these tests http://crypto.stanford.edu/sameorigin/safecachetest.html keeps failing without SafeCache enabled.
Still it needs an update to lift maxversion, and to fix the cookie box flaw (workaround in my previous post).

Organize Status Bar

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

OSB 6.5 (http://yellow5.us/firefox/osb_0.6.5.xpi) is working fine on FF 6.0a1 x64 over W7x64, for me, after manually editing max version in intall.rdf file.

Nuke Anything Enhanced

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Working fine for FF 6.0a1 after editing max version in .rdf file to allow install.

Show Anchors

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

It works, after editing max version in install.rdf file, on FF 6.0a1 (2011-04-22) x64 W7x64, but context menu over anchors shows transparent menu background. It needs an update.

Also I've found it refuses to show context anchor menu over anchors on some images (if not all). For example the little graphs at the right of the table have an anchor, but context menu doesn't display http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/EG.USE.ELEC.KH.PC

QuickJava

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

It seems to work fine for FF 6.0a1 after editing max ver in .rdf file, but I'd still like to have the status bar hidden buttons in the right click drop up menu.

Quick Locale Switcher

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Working right on firefox 8.0a1 after manually editing FF maxversion into install.rdf file. Great extension.

@Frank E, in the ftp server it seems mozilla only publishes langpacks for namoroka, beta, aurora and nightly versions. For normal version it only publishes localized bundles. Look for folders with xxxx-l10n sufix here: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/tinderbox-builds/ , maybe in ../tinderbox-builds/xxxx-l10n/install

Flagfox

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

A great extension. I love to have URL related services, like web translators, at 2 clicks. It seems to work well with FF 6.0a1 after doing the trick on max version.
