I'm actually reviewing the stand alone pro version. It is magic and I sincerely hope the source can be located and maintained. It seems to operate on the whole system, not just FF. Without FF running it dropped my Win7 memory use from over 50% to 25% and with FF from a system crippling 90% to 40%. Terribly sad about Richard. He seems to have had some wizard in him.
The serial is:
Needs an On/Off switch icon I can put on the UI which goes bright red when it is active on a Google page. I just spent an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't set a Google Alert or even log in to manage them before it finally occured to me that this add-on might be blocking me.
On 6/14/14 this add-on totally and irreparably hosed my FF 30.0 main profile. Major intrinsic functionality (such as Customize) simply gone. Luckily I back the profile up every night and was able to recover. Had I no backup I would be hosed too.
Google Maps does not work when this plug is enabled. Controls completely unresponsive. Damn shame because otherwise it is useful. Took a long time to figure that this plug was what was breaking it. Very, very unhappy about wasting valuable time on a pig.
Reading other reviews tells me it also is what is screwing Google+. Bug has been around long enough that this plug must now be considered an orphan. Thanks for nothing.
HN seems to have broken this indispensable add-on. Please, oh please, look into it and see if it can be fixed. I just can't go on without it. :-)
Hangs trying to download bookmarks to new browser profile. Had to use Firefox's bookmarks export and import instead.Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (184.108.40.206-signed).
Couldn't work without it. Coexists poorly with FF 18.0.1 but almost certainly a FF problem since many addons coexist poorly with 18.0.1. They broke it.Esta valoración es de una versión anterior del complemento (2.0.0).
Original comment in parens below no longer applies. Chuck responded quickly and resolved problem immediately.
(Fails to restore form data to new session. Gives programming error. Support board doesn't allow user registration. Stuck.)
Well, with that config parameter set to 0 there was still a page (reuters.com) that was badly stalling FF 4 no matter how long I left it unselected while working with other pages. The stall had to do with an auto refresh .js script on rueters.com that is incompetent (fixed by blocking the offensive element with Adblock Plus.).
Using BarTab I was _really_ able to unload the page and eliminate its foul behavior. The tab history problem was a show stopper, however.
Sorry to hear that automatic reload is such an intractable problem with FF 4.
I decided I would try and live with it but then found a behavior I cannot live with. When you reload a page your position in the tab history list seems to have been forgotten and the reload is always to the top entry in the list. Unusable, I'm afraid.
I sure hope this excellent concept doesn't remain orphaned too much longer.
If you have a large number of live bookmarks organized in a multilevel directory structure the flat sidebar format makes it difficult to find things.
Directories should be color or font highlighted and collapsible in the sidebar. On re-opening the sidebar, the collapse state at last use should be retained (all collapsed initially.)
Otherwise a great plugin.
