Great extension and I only had to configure the preference root for 3 extensions, still waiting for FEBE though, but with this I can at least cleanup my user.js file of old extension preferences. ;-)
@biturica and anyone else confused by this since I was initially confused by your review until I tested OPIE myself. OPIE will only backup preferences if there are any preferences for it to backup, if you go through your extensions list you'll not that there are some extensions without any preferences to configure at all, and I made sure to check it got all the ones that did have preferences.
Does what it does well, but fails to meet my expectations Puntuado con 2 de 5 estrellas
Err, it's not bad for what it does, but it's rather clunky and a bit frustrating.
I expected that it would make a copy of all my del.icio.us bookmarks complete with tags and descriptions, what I actually got was rather lacking. You see the desired result was that I could bookmark once (on del.icio.us) and it would also keep a copy of the bookmark in Firefox, this way I could use the location bar to search all my bookmarks while keeping them on del.icio.us as well, I do use Foxmarks for backup purposes but I bookmark things into del.icio.us via NetNewsWire and also so I can link my friends to tag lists, and instead, it creates another menu bar item (which cannot be disabled so far as I can tell), and of course on the initial install it just fills the Firefox chrome with everything imaginable including 3 status bar icons, 2 or 3 toolbar items, takes over keyboard shortcuts, and it seems there was at least one context menu item (I edited a ton of crap out of the context menu), and while it's possible to disable all of these, it's annoying to have all of that garbage there after the install while something that would actually be useful is left out.
Sorry to be harsh, but this was really really lacking, but for what it does do (bookmarking on del.icio.us, quick access to the bookmarks via the menu if not the location bar which is the best feature of Firefox 3, and the nice sidebar), it does fairly nicely.
