Check this site where the video starts automatically despite not allowing that. Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Check "RolandChannel - YouTube" at
On this page, the video starts automatically even though I have clearly set this addon YouTube High Definition to prevent videos from starting automatically anywhere!
I do not why, for this particular page, it does not work.
I used AutoPause everywhere on the options for this addon.

Many thanks to the developer for this excellent addon. Highly recommended.

A BUG! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

There is a BIG and VERY BAD bug with your addon and it is extremely damaging to your addon.

When I move to a youtube page with a video, there is a problem where your addon does not start and instead I see HD on the settings button linked to the video window on youtube!!
Then, I am forced to try to do things to start your addon taking over by clicking inside the slider on the video window, and only then does it allow this HD to disappear and basically your addon start taking over only when I trigger it manually through the clicking of the slider!!

All this mess makes the use of your addon not only a big pain but your addon is basically unusable normally without me being forced to trigger your addon manually into action by clicking on this slider!!
This experience is not only a waste of time but it is extremely bad.

In version 44, the icon that was on the bar at the bottom of Firefox 43 does not appear with version 44. It might be intentional, I do not know.

I use Firefox 43 and Windows 7 Ultimate. In YouTube High Definition, I use the following options: Video Quality: Large 480 and Video Size: Full Page. As you see, the HD (720p) comes first when I reach a video page and it has nothing to do with my options used with this addon.

I hope you will solve this BIG bug because your addon has always been very good otherwise when it worked properly.

Still this problem of not getting the expand option working. Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I sent you (the developer) my current list of Firefox add-ons. I use Firefox 9.0 (the latest) and Windows 7 Ultimate.

Despite trying many things, I still have this youtube high definition add-on that does not work only for the expand option. Each time I start my computer, when I check a video on youtube, it always shows in the shrunk mode, not in the expand mode despite the fact that I have set this add-on to show videos at the highest resolution with the expand window option.

It is my hope you will find why it does not work with my particular configuration (and with the current list of Firefox add-ons that I have and that I sent you by email at your personal email address)!!

I add that it is only the expand option that does not work, the highest definition option seems to work fine right when I first start a video.

Still this problem of not getting the expand option working. Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Hello Baris (the developer of this add-on),

In reply to your comments that you left on my first posting (Cookies by Baris Derin (Developer) on December 27, 2011 #), strangely enough, I do NOT have any add-ons that disable cookies but I still have this problem that instead of seeing on videos on an expanded video window, I see the shrank video window only the first time I use the video! For the second and more videos during the same session, the expand option keeps working once I have enabled it the first time.
Strange! And I do not have any clues concerning what might cause this problem.

For the time being, I just press the expand option each time I start a video for the first time. Not a big deal but strange that I cannot get it to work properly the first time! At least the selection of the highest definition video format seems to work right the first time and therefore why would the expanded video window not work right the first time too? Strange.

One thing I must note is the following. On, I am a registered user with but I am always logged in by default, as I clearly see my name at the top right each time I use

By the way, I use the latest version of Firefox (9.0 currently) and I have Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.

Sometimes, it is very hard to spot the cause of a problem in Windows!

Despite this problem, I reiterate my thanks to the developer, as this add-on is perfect for me even though I still have this problem that might be related only to my particular setup.

Hello MichaelIs,

Thanks for the kind words.

Please contact us for further support. Lets check the problem in more detail:

The Expand option does not always work! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

There is definitely a problem with the Expand option. I use Windows 7 Ultimate.

First, I selected High Resolution and Expand as my two option choices.

Two times so far, at two different days, I clearly noticed when I checked a video on that the Expand option was not applied.
Once I have selected the Expand option on a particular video where the Expand option was not applied, it works fine for the entire time I use my computer for that particular session. So, for instance, I could close fully my Firefox 9.0 and restart Firefox and I still would have the Expand option working.

Apart from this bug (I assume), this add-on is perfect to me.

Thanks a lot for the developer.

Thanks for the review,

Size changes depends on the Youtube cookies. If you do not let Youtube cookies or having problems about generic Youtube cookies things might behave strangely. Normally add-on works without any problem. If you still having problems please pay attention for cookies in your Firefox. You may want to disable the add-ons that prevent the cookies.
