www.go 18.104.22.168-signed.1-signed Necesita reiniciarse
Have you ever wondered where clicking on random links would take you? www.go takes you on a random trip through the web, clicking on links every seven seconds and taking you to a new place.
Acerca de este complemento
While we are experiencing the web in a whole new way, why not experience websites differently also? The art functions allow you to automatically transform each website you visit in a random way. Rotated, rounded, or skewed page elements can quickly turn a website into a piece of artwork. Best of all, it's random, so the amount of rotation will change each time, and for each element.
Using the plugin is very simple. With it installed, find a website where you'd like to start and visit it so it's open in Firefox. All you have to do is hit the "go" button. Once you've started moving, you can either sit back and watch, or interact with the show. If it's taken you to a webpage you'd like to explore, you can hit the "pause" button to interact with the page. While www.go is running, links are by no means disabled, so you can still click on them while the plugin is running, and direct the path to somewhere you find interesting.
Were www.go to just click on a random link, it would quickly get stuck in a website that mostly just links to itself, such as Yahoo. Yahoo has such a high proportion of internal links that the chance of leaving its orbit at any random click is low, and it can take a long time. So to make this more interesting, the plugin prioritizes external links. For instance, if you are on Yahoo, it will first attempt to take you to a website that is not from Yahoo, and only if there are no external links will it take you to a page within the same website.
So with external links prioritized, www.go finds more new content, but it's still possible to remain on the same website for a while, as some smaller (and not so small) websites have only internal links on the majority of their pages. Another case occurs when two websites have the same owner and link to each other. The plugin bounces back and forth between the two, and it quickly becomes boring. So to enhance the experience, www.go also avoids websites which it has visited three times out of the last seven random webpages.
But what do we do when there are no links we want to visit or none at all? We could back up through the already visited websites and look for new links, but doing so risks finding similar content. Instead we look for some completely new content. The plugin takes a random search string from a set I made up, and plugs it into a random search engine (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Blekko, etc...). It now has a new set of links to start with.
