Are you going to update the theme for Australis (new look in Firefox 29)? It currently "works" with it, but it removes the new app menu icon (the menu is still here, but it doesn't work properly), Customize tab is strange, and there's not a border between the toolbar and the webpage.
I discovered "Winestripe Realfox 4" a short time ago as "StrataStripe" (which I had used before) is not compatible with Firefox 26.
Both add-ons are very nice. Concerning "Winestripe" I would only like to suggest a small impromevent:
The buttons Back and Next (the green arrows) (and also the button to stop the loading of the site) do not become grey when the function is not available but they retain their original colour (green respectively red) in a pale shade. This makes it difficult to recognize if the function is active or not.
Therefore to my mind it would be useful to replace the pale shade of non-active buttons by a grey color (the way it works in StrataStripe). Thanks a lot.
I've been using this theme (and its predecessor) since years, and I absolutely love it. Sadly, the new 2.0 partially broke Personas support by creating an opacity gradient over the menu bar and the toolbar, so the Persona fades the plain white on the left side of the screen. It'd be great to see this fixed.
Thank you for this. The new default Firefox theme is dreadful. I always loved the Winestripe theme. This Add-on does have a few problems, however: 1) The Add-on Bar is too tall. 2) The Tab Bar is too short. 3) The zoom buttons (on the Add-on Bar) have no images, and the area is too wide. 4) The forward and stop buttons have white spots/shadows under them. 5) The gray color is too dark.... If it's possible to fix these issues, this would be the perfect theme.... Thank you either way.
as mentioned before, it is missing the new tab button! (I am using it in firefox 6.0.2) I really love this theme, i think firefox 1.5 was best looking firefox ever. so if you could fix this small thing i would be grateful forever!!! tnx for keeping the old school firefox alive
I love this theme, it brings back memories and goes great with my Windows XP theme for Windows 7. My ONLY gripe with this theme(which really isn't a big deal since it's barely noticeable) is that the stop button has a white spec on it, both when pressed and not pressed.
I like it. Just waiting for the small icons version and it will be perfect. About the New Tab Icon missing from( tglatz) I got the same problem (with any theme) and found out it was just a FF4 design problem. To get it, right click on the tools bar, Customize. On the right border of the theme, you have a big + sign. This is your Tab New Icon. Just grab it to the customize windows and then put it whatever you want.
I really liked this until I realized that there was no New Tab option... Maybe I'm a dork, but I can't easily open a new blank tab with this skin - there is no little do-hicky to the right of the browser tabs, as in almost every other browser out there now. Had to switch to another theme.
This theme needs a lot of work. There only seems to be one icon size (regardless of settings) and that is 'huge'. It also seemed to completely screw up my add-on bar by placing a whole load of repeated icons in it, not sure if that's a conflict with the status-4-evar add-on.
I like the square address bar but personally I don't think the green verification bar or any of the icons should be removed. I also don't think the tab style fits too well. The tabs are tiny, especially compared with the huge icons, and they don't really fit the rest of the UI.
Overall I think this theme is a nice idea and close to what I want, but the implementation needs work.
