I actually decided to upload the edited file (sorry, it's a crappy megaupload link). Hope it helps!
For anyone looking for a FF3.1-compatible version, just download the the TMP file to your desktop, open it up using archive software (WinRar, WinZip, etc.), and open "install.rdf" with Notepad or other basic text editor. Change "em:maxVersion="3.0"" to "em:maxVersion="3.1"" or higher and you're good to go.
Worked fine for me.
Now that firefox 3.01 is out, even the version from
wont work :'(
Now has started the version 3.0.1 and, of course, this extension is not working on the new version ... :((
I like this add-on very much...
Extensão fantástica e muito útil!
Infelizmente ainda está incompatível com o Firefox 3.0
What is taking them so long? This is ridiculous.
best add-on of firefox!
Firefox rulls because is so configurable and permit these plugins, wich some are fantastic.
please Mozzila get published directly to site of the version for Firefox 3 for this plugin !
(activate that button "add to firefox")
How do I revert Tabbar behavior to what FF3 has?
FF3 sliding of the tabbar when clicking on the tabbar left or right buttons to scroll tabs is much nicer than what Tab Mix Plus does.
Download the latest version of this extension which is compatible with Firefox 3 from one of there links:
UPDATE THIS FOR 3.0!!
I can't live without it! Do it NOW! Get on it! You are killing me. I may have to DOWNGRADE FF because of you. Best add-on, period.
PLEASE update this for Firefox 3.0! I just upgraded about an hour ago, and I already miss this extension!
Problem. When TMP is enabled, the target attribute of anchor tag is sometimes ignored.
It seems to be that, when new windows are re-directed to new tabs, and target=_blank, and the link goes to a site other than the current site, the target is ignored. The current (tab) is replaced, instead a new one being used.
Didn't place tab bar at the bottom, and incompatible with Tabbrowser Preserences. I uninstall TMP and went back to Tabbrowser Prefs bwcause I want the tab bar at the bottom.
You can download a version compatible with the current FF3 here:
Firefox 2 had really pathetic handling of tabs (ie, not at all) so this was necessary to fix all those faults. Unfortunately nothing of this was fixed for Firefox 3 and the people who made this seem to have abandoned it. Which is a pity. We can only hope someone else will update that, since Firefox is pathetically useless without it.
Terrific extension! Beware if using FF3; may conflict with hyperwords extension...can't wait for "OFFICIAL" release of TMP for FF3...yay.
i gave TMP 5 stars because it is one of the most useful add on in FF. BUT..its taking longer than i expected to update to FF3. i fear TMP is going the way of other abandoned add ons..
This is a great plug in total control of those tabs:)
thanks you made my life easier!!
Please update with 3.0 FF version...
I've trying to download TMP for FF3, but for some reason, it says that I'm banned from the forum. I have NO idea how that could even possibly be, since this is only like, the third time I've visited the TMP forums. Does anyone know of an alternate download location?
Thank you for this great extension. Glad to see that it has been updated for FF3. I was missing it!
"enhances Firefox's tab browsing". Why the Firefox's options do not include the same natural & basic functions ?
I didn't realize how much I relied on this plug-in until I updated firefox and it didn't automatically update. I was left bereft, until I read here that the development version was working with FF3. Many thanks to the great development team that keeps this plug-in so amazing!
Absolutely essential add-in. I'm addicted to double-click duplicate.
Scree: Yes it is, but you are obviously too stupid to read.
