youtube downloader simply does not work Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

There is no button for starting the download. I have used previous versions of this on earlier versions of Firefox, but they blew it this time - I see I am not the only one with this issue, but apparently there has been no response from the developer. FYI - Firefox v.28 running on Win XP Pro with SP3.

very impressed by this addon. so simple to use. we are going on a long trip and my 5 year old daughter wanted her youtube playlist on her tablet. since youtube doesnt currently support offline mode i gave this addon a shot. it allowed me to download her whole playlist in mp4 format so she could watch them all on her tablet on the flight. highly recommended

Great so far Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Just tried this and so far so good. We dont always have access to the internet or dont always want to be on it. I used this to download 2 instructional vids about 15 mins each and each took less than 1 min in mp4(low) format. After exiting firefox and restarting none of the downloaded vids remained in my download que. this is just what I needed. Thank you for this nifty Add on.

Decent so far but needs updating would get 5 star if it will allow convert from say mp4 to mp3 or many others and especially the download in what quality? Needs update to tell you what quality your downloading 720p hd or 1080p etc..

Great. I guess. Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I mean it does the job. A DOWNLOAD button appears on the YouTube page of the clips that you play, and by clicking it, the clip is captured into a user-specified folder, which in my case is "FIREFOX_DOWNLOADS" on my desktop. Problem is, the next morning - Sunday morning surfing - I hit the tab-plus sign to get an empty tab . . . but it aint empty. It has thumbs of all the clips I downloaded yesterday. I can remove them, yes, but I can also restore them. And this is not exactly "private browsing" as I see it. Good thing I have a "trust-but-test-and verify" policy. All the SO would have seen would have been hobby clips of locomotives and freight trains. But choo-choo trains may not be the only clips YOU download from YouTube, eh? Ha-ha. Ha-ha. I'll mess with it a while, but I'll dump it if I cant fix it. Prolly easy fix, but it just surprised me. Ha-ha.
