Should be built into Windows Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I've used this program for years, and now I can't stand using a browser that doesn't have it. I've grown so accustomed to it that I find myself trying to grab and drag every window on my computer. Like the title implies, this ought to be a standard option in Windows' mouse settings.

Wishful thinking aside... What ever happened to the Thunderbird version of this plugin? Just as I was getting to like it, you went and discontinued it! Wut up wit dat?

A really really useful add-on. Thank you!

Very nice addon. I have used this in the past in combination with a Wacom pen tablet. Works very well.

One suggestion for a new feature would be to prevent the actual cursor from moving during a grab&drag action. The rationale behind this is that this would allow a user to use the 'pointing stick' in the center of his notebook keyboard as a scrolling mechanism, without the need to constantly move back and forth from top to bottom. It would make scrolling in one smooth movement possible.

Very nice!!! Could use improvement though Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I would like an option to only activate Grab and Drag on images that I give a class='grabanddrag', and the rest of the time, leave it disabled.

A very useful add on, I use it a lot.

I would like to make one suggestion though ... would it be at all possible to implement a hold-toggle key?

The reason I ask is that I've started using Firegestures which has led to my reassigning the LMB to Grab and Drag. Which in turn has led to me being unable to move child windows from time to time without disabling Grab and Drag. A hold-toggle such as hold shift, click and drag for instance would be an ideal solution to this : )

Love this, but... Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I truly love this addon. I think it is essential for browsing on my windows 7 tablet. For that reason I wanted to add my only issue--anytime my firefox browser is closed, for updates or accidentally closing it down, whatever the reason my session is closed, I have to restart this feature. I always go back to my addons and start it up again, but it's a pain sometimes. Is this a windows 7 issue or is anyone else experiencing this? I agree that this should be built into firefox. This addon certainly makes browsing and editing much easier.
Thanks!

Sharyl, that is a strange problem that probably isn't directly a bug with Grab & Drag, since that information is stored by Firefox the same as with any other addon. Maybe there is a corrupt configuration file somewhere in your Firefox profile. If you ask for help on the Mozilla help boards I'm sure someone can walk you through some troubleshooting steps.

A suggestion + Thanks! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I love this add-on! I just can't imagine browsing internet without it!
And a suggestion. I think of that it could be great if the add-on had a "grab-lock" like feature, turning on when you hold the mouse grab button for a while. It can be very useful when reading something in the web. you can scroll the page up and down with no pressure on your wrist and finger.
Keep calm and go on :) ;)

Nice Spped Scrolling! Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Takes a little bit to get the "hang of it" and to tweak the options to what works best for you but so far great add-on. Kudos and thank you

Great but can use some tweaking for full-touch devices Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Grab and Drag is a great add-on and actually this should be built into Firefox!

However, for my touchscreen Linux laptop, I always make this change in order to make it work perfect for touch usage: in gadUpHandler I remove both conditions which prevent it to always start scrolling - one comparison just before (gadFlickOn||gadMomOn) and the whole if condition just after if (gadMomOn).
With these little changes, FF behaves just like it should on a touch device, just like IE under Windows or FF on Mobile: a "swipe" will always trigger a momentum scroll and that is perfect.

Maybe one day this will be an option in the preferences, then I'll be most happy :)

Very nice and usefull addon, can't live without it, but ... Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Grab'n Drag is one of the first addons I add to a freshly installed Firefox. Unfortunately, since last version, G'nD is conflicting with the context menu (right click). Both with middle or left mouse button.
My configuration : Linux + Aurora 23.

I hope it will be fixed very soon.
Thanks for making Firefox even better...

Fix is on the way

Thanks for the quick feedback, and apologies to everyone on Linux and OS X for the context menu bug introduced in v3.2.3. A new, fixed version is being submitted to Mozilla today for review and hopefully will push to users quickly. Until then you can revert to 3.1.9 here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/grab-and-drag/versions/?page=1#version-3.1.9

problem in linux with 3.2.3 Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Yes, great add-on, but version 3.2.3 in linux breaks the right-click menu (at least in forms and text boxes) when drag is set to left button.

You can reinstall the previous version (3.1.9) here:

Having trouble with the last update Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I have been always extremely happy to use this addon until today with the last update. I'm on linux and I'm using grab and drag with the left click, after this last update I'm not more able to use the right context popup menu when I'm using this addon, so i had to switch on the right click to use it properly. I hope u will find a solution for this little bug because i was always used to use it with the left click. Thanks for the great work.

Awesome Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

I was actually just looking for something that would let me drag around large full-size images, and this includes that ability. But now that I installed this, I find myself using it all the time during normal web navigation. I pretty much never have to click scroll bars anymore. A great idea and works very smoothly and reliably, with more options than you'll ever need. Simply awesome. Thank you.
