Before support: i cant close firefox from X in top right corner
After support: All working fine ... problem was in TMP Plugin, same as you told me.
Verry sorry for my spammy post ...
You make my day!!!
This problem isn't due to my add-on. Other users had the same problem, but they found out it was due to the TabMixPlus add-on. If there is an update for TMP, try to get it. If you already have the latest one, then try to disable "Use Firefox's built-in Session Restore feature" option in TabMixPlus.
By the way, next time you'll have an issue, as stated in the add-on description, please, use the support link and before doing it, try the 3 steps I advice to do before reporting anything. The step 1 would have helped you to find out that my theme is not responsible of the issue.
*Edit: Glad that everything is fine now.
Great Efforts Man, I Love It :)
Very nice theme, i really love it! :-)
One thing: It would be very awesome to see a red version of it.
Maybe a option to change the cyan color into a custom one?
Me encanta :D
This is by far the best Firefox skin I've tried, the immersion is complete and I mean COMPLETE. Absolutely everything is skinned: Downloads List, Bookmark Library, context menus, even the GUI of other add-ons gets skinned!
I was able to find out which setting in "Tab Mix Plus" causes the "X" button error. If you have "Tab Mix Plus" installed you need to use that add-ons session restorer instead of Firefox's.
Very clean and nice theme! It's noticeable the love you have invested on it. An inspiration source for me...
Thank you for your feedback! Indeed I invested lots of time, energy and passion into this add-on and I am really glad that we can feel it.
Just tried it on Firefox Nightly 41, had to modify to enable it but it works well with no problems
"x" spot will work again after you disable "Use Firefox's built-in Session Restore feature" option in TabMixPlus
Im actually using
Firefox Developer Edition 39.0a2 (2015-05-05),
so i cant use this awesome theme t_t
I like the look of this theme, please make it
compatible with curent Firefox version.
Dark done right. What else needs to be said? Thank you to the creators!
I remember using this back in the days, and now that I'm back to Firefox this becomes one of my favorite thing about it.
Thank you for sharing your work!
justo lo que buscaba
It's an extremely good looking theme but sadly it's not updated often enough for use with Aurora or Nightly, unless you feel like changing the maximum version manually every time.
If you use regular Firefox though, you're in for a treat, because it's without a doubt the best looking dark theme out there.
For your information, Aurora (Developer Edition) and/or Nightly compatibility is not an obligation for add-ons developers. This theme has been created with the main goal to support the regular Firefox, compatibility with higher versions is only a plus. I never stated in the add-on description it is supposed to work with all other versions of Firefox (neither with Firefox forked versions such as Palemoon, Waterfox, Cyberfox, etc.). I think it was already quite nice that for many years I spent time in trying to make my theme compatible with Aurora and Nightly when I had the possibility. It changes too often (especially Nightly which breaks the theme almost every other day) and I can't spend too much free time in fixing something which changes too frequently.
I do appreciate the fact that you like what I created, but please, if you want to review my add-on, review/rate it on what it is supposed to do, i.e. to change the appearance of the regular Firefox (for Windows and Linux) and not of all derived versions of it.
This theme is really good, keep up the good work!
this is the best skin for me and i think for everyone, if is posible make compatibility with firefox developer 38, i really miss this skin in that version of firefox, thx for all
I really like this theme but most of the time the bookmark/website tab icons are rather distracting since they're on a darker background. Is it possible to have a customizable fade effect or something similar on the toolbars? Something like this - http://i.imgur.com/8BSlWvk.jpg
EDIT: Wow, I really should've been able to look alll this stuff up, but thanks for taking the time to respond and help out! It's exactly what I wanted.
Concerning the favicons, I created something called a "userstyle" to customize a bit the tabs. To use it, you need first to install an add-on called "Stylish" (there is a link in my add-on's description). Then, once you installed this add-on, you can apply the userstyle I created. The userstyle can be found here : https://userstyles.org/styles/94667/selected-tab-blue-font-color-for-ft-deepdark
This userstyle has been originally made to change the selected tab font color into a blue one, but you can customize few other things related with the tabs thanks to it. As for example, the text position (centered), you can also hide the favicons (it reappears when you hover the tab bar), remove the new tab "+" icon. If you don't like the blue text color, you can edit the userstyle and set yourself the color you want. If you also don't want the favicon to be totally hidden, you can also edit the opacity. For a bit more informations about how to edit the userstyle, read the userstyle "notes" on the userstyle page.
Thanks to the "Stylish" add-on and if you are comfortable with CSS code and the use of another add-on called "DOM Inspector", you can customize a lot of things yourself and make your Firefox to look exactly as you wish.
Now concerning the bookmarks bar, you can install another add-on called "autohide bookmarks". You can find it here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/autohide-bookmarks/.
It can allow you to reduce the amount of "distracting" ui elements and, at same time, to save space by avoiding the bookmarks bar to display. When you need to use it, you just need to push the "ctrl" keyboard button and hover the visible part of your browser with the cursor (i.e. the tabs bar, menu bar, navigation bar, etc.). This will allow the bookmarks bar to reappear.
Another solution, instead of using the "autohide bookmarks", could be to use another add-on called "The Fox, Only Better". You can find it here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-fox-only-better/.
It can allow you to only display the tabs bar and when you hover it with the cursor, it displays again all the hidden part of the browser.
I manually updated the theme to work with Firefox 38+, and so far I haven't noticed any issues. Any ETA on an official build that is compatible?
The "timeline" developer tool, when using Firefox 38 (Developer Edition) with my theme, is broken. Seeing it is a Firefox edition specially made for developers, I can't make my theme officially available for it, if one of the developer tools is not behaving as it should. Till I won't fix this issue, my theme won't be available for the Firefox Developer Edition.
By the way, Mozilla uses to modify these developer tools with each new version, so I am pondering if to keep on supporting it. Anyway, the Firefox Developer Edition comes with a default dark theme which can be used as a substitute of my theme.
I love this theme! Thank goodness you update it to be compatible with the newer versions of Firefox!
Muy bueno y no dificulta el poder personalizar las pestañas.
